If you're lucky enough to have a Virgin
0:01
Voyages vacation planned in 2026, there
0:04
are a few changes you'll want to know

and some new things that I'm going to

tell you about that are coming up in the
0:11
next year. So, whether you've sailed on
0:13
Virgin Voyages before or 2026 will be
0:16
your first time sailing with the brand,
0:18
I'm going to tell you about the six big
0:20
things that are coming up in the new
0:21
year. I'm David from VV Insider and
0:24
we're going to take a look at why 2026
0:27
will be a transformative year for Virgin
0:30
Voyages and what that means for you as a
0:32
sailor, including some fantastic new
0:35
itineraries with destinations where
0:36
Virgin Voyages have never been before.
0:39
Incredibly exciting news about how
0:41
entertainment is changing across the
0:43
fleet. and some information about the
0:46
remodeling and renovation of Virgin
0:48
Voyagers second ship in the fleet,
0:50
Valiant Lady, and what that means for
0:52
the fleet going forward. So, take my
0:54
word for it. 2026 is going to be a huge
0:56
year for the brand. So, come along as we
0:58
take a look at what's new. V Insider is
1:01
the number one resource for the latest
1:03
Virgin Voyages info, guides, and news.

1:25
So, to kick things off, we're talking
1:26
about something that is genuinely once
1:29
in a lifetime. And these are two
1:31
specific sailings that you will remember
1:33
for the rest of your life, guaranteed.
1:35
I'm talking, of course, about the two
1:37
solar eclipse voyages that are taking
1:39
place in the new year. There will be a
1:41
total solar eclipse happening on the
1:43
12th of August next year. Two of the
1:45
Virgin Voyages ships just happen to be
1:48
in the European region where this will
1:50
occur. The path of the solar eclipse
1:51
will be passing through the Arctic,
1:53
Iceland, Greenland, the Atlantic Ocean,
1:56
and Spain. And not one but two Virgin
1:59
Voyagers sailings will be specifically
2:01
rrooted so sailors can get a great
2:04
experience of the solar eclipse when it
2:06
happens in August. There are two
2:08
sailings where this will be the case.
2:10
The first one is setting sail on August
2:12
5th on Valiant Lady on a sailing called
2:14
Eclipse in the land of ice and fire.
2:17
This particular sailing leaves from
2:18
Portsmouth before heading to Ireland,
2:20
then heading back to the UK to visit
2:22
Liverpool and Belfast before setting
2:24
sail for two sea days before they reach
2:27
Iceland. And on the last of these sea
2:29
days on the 12th of August, that is
2:31
where Valiant Lady will reposition
2:33
herself to make sure she gives sailors
2:35
the best experience of the total solar
2:38
eclipse. This of course will always be
2:40
weather dependent if it's overcast
2:42
conditions. There's not a lot the
2:43
captain will be able to do, but rest
2:46
assured they will try everything that
2:47
they possibly can to make sure you get a
2:49
really good view of that very special
2:51
solar eclipse. The sailing then makes
2:54
three stops in Iceland before returning
2:56
back to the UK via Edinburgh in Scotland
2:59
and then heading back to Portsmouth. The
3:01
second solar eclipse sailing sets sail
3:03
from Barcelona on August the 10th, this
3:06
time on Scarlet Lady. She heads over to
3:09
Morca for day one and then after that
3:11
it's the sea day on the 12th of August
3:13
where the eclipse will be seen. You are
3:15
in the Mediterranean so you do have
3:17
better chance of nicer weather but of
3:19
course the weather doesn't always work
3:21
like that so a little bit of good luck
3:23
is needed. The rest of the sailing
3:25
includes ports in Spain, Italy and
3:27
France before finishing up in Rome,
3:30
Italy. Bookings for both of these
3:31
voyages have been open for a while now
3:33
but there are still some cabins left.
3:35
So, if you're looking to get booked onto
3:37
there, head over to vbvinsider.com/book
3:41
to not only get the best rates, but also
3:43
make sure you bag all of those exclusive
3:45
perks that we can give you at VV Insider
3:48
as well. The second thing to look out
3:50
for in 2026 is another point about
3:52
destinations and itineraries. And this
3:55
one's a big one. 2026 will mark the
3:58
first time that Virgin Voyages make
4:00
their way through the Panama Canal and
4:02
end up in the west coast of North
4:04
America. Brilliant Lady launched in
4:06
September 2025 and it was announced
4:09
earlier in 2025 that the big change for
4:12
Brilliant Lady will be that the
4:14
lifeboats are on a new system designed
4:16
to bring the lifeboats in to allow the
4:19
ship to meet the width requirements to
4:21
pass through the Panama Canal. Well,
4:23
she'll be using that system in earnest
4:25
in March 2026 when she makes her first
4:28
journey through the Panama Canal on her
4:30
way to Los Angeles. This is on a sailing
4:33
that leaves Miami on March 21st. This is
4:36
a huge 16- night sailing which will take
4:38
Brilliant Lady through Colombia, Panama,
4:41
Guatemala, and Mexico before arriving in
4:44
Los Angeles. Brilliant Lady's first
4:45
passage through Panama Canal will be on
4:48
the 26th of March. Stay tuned to
4:50
vbvinsider.com
4:51
for more news as that sailing occurs.
4:54
This will be a truly historic day for
4:56
the Virgin Voyagers brand because it
4:58
opens up so many new itineraries and
5:01
destinations on the west coast of North
5:03
America. Brilliant Lady's next passage
5:05
through Panama Canal will be in October
5:07
where she returns to Miami for the
5:10
winter season. Both the westbound and
5:12
the eastbound crossings of the Panama
5:14
Canal next year are open for booking.
5:16
These Voyagers did sell incredibly well
5:18
when they first opened up last year, but
5:21
if you're looking for those remaining
5:22
cabins, again, head over to
5:24
vvincider.com and we'll check the
5:26
availability and the offers available
5:28
for those remaining cabins for you. Now,
5:30
staying with Brilliant Lady for just one
5:32
more moment. The third thing to look out
5:34
for in 2026 are the brand new Alaska
5:38
itineraries. Alaska is that real a major
5:41
next step after the Panama and LA
5:44
crossing and Virgin Voyagers are really
5:46
looking forward to bringing Brilliant
5:48
Lady to Alaska. Virgin Voyagers have put
5:50
a huge amount of effort and time into
5:53
understanding what makes an Alaska
5:55
voyage really, really tick. And they've
5:57
broken it down really into two main
5:59
themes. One is the onboard experience
6:01
and allowing people to really feel the
6:04
scenery. So, the interior spaces of
6:06
Brilliant Lady have been redeveloped
6:09
last year to allow for people to see
6:11
more of the scenery outside of the ship.
6:14
This can really be seen in two major
6:16
areas on board the ship. The first one
6:18
being the new roundabout space compared
6:20
to her sisters. Brilliant Lady has a
6:22
much more open and airy feel where a lot
6:25
of the architectural elements had
6:27
actually been removed to allow sailors
6:29
to see out of the windows a 360 view of
6:33
the scenery on either side of the ship.
6:36
And after sailing on Brilliant Lady
6:37
earlier this year, I can say that the
6:39
roundabout on Brilliant Lady really
6:42
gives the other ships a run for their
6:43
money when it comes to the interior
6:45
design. The roundabout area on Brilliant
6:47
Lady is a really lovely place to sit and
6:50
relax. And although the architectural
6:52
changes to the roundabout are quite
6:54
slight, it does make a huge difference
6:56
in being able to see out of the windows.
6:59
It's a really nice place to sit, it's
7:01
all warm and snug, and you can see out
7:03
of those large windows. So, that'll be
7:05
great when the ship is passing through
7:07
those glacial views and all of the
7:09
wonderful wildlife and scenery that
7:12
Alaska has to offer. The second place
7:14
where this is going to be really
7:15
noticeable is the new athletic club. The
7:18
athletic club is at the very back of the
7:20
ship. And if you've been on any of the
7:22
other Virgin Voyages sister ships,
7:24
you'll know that historically there was
7:26
a large red sunbed, which was described
7:28
as the largest sunbed at sea, which is
7:31
all well and good, but it did block the
7:33
view to those that want to see the
7:35
scenery outside of the ship. Well,
7:37
Virgin Voyagers have made a change of
7:39
Brilliant Lady and removed that large
7:41
sunbed and changed the furniture so you
7:44
can actually see all the way around the
7:46
back of the ship from the athletic club.
7:48
Now, if you haven't been on Brilliant
7:49
Lady yet, trust me, this makes a huge
7:52
difference. And if the weather is nice
7:54
enough or if you're bundled up enough to
7:56
stand out there as you're passing
7:58
through these Alaskan scenic vistas,
8:00
it'll be a really lovely place to
8:02
experience that from. Another
8:04
non-tangible area that Virgin Voyagers
8:06
have really tried to focus in on for
8:08
these Alaska sailings is the idea that
8:11
shore things are now going to be very
8:12
specific to the location that you visit
8:15
in Alaska. So, the Virgin Voyages team
8:17
have done a lot of work to source some
8:19
really unique experiences for sailors to
8:22
enjoy. So, if you're looking to do
8:24
something really unique in Alaska, have
8:27
a look at the Virgin Voyages shore
8:28
things and you can see those either on
8:30
the website or on the app and have a
8:32
look at the type of experiences that you
8:34
can book in Alaska on Virgin Voyages.
8:37
One thing to really note though with
8:39
Virgin Voyages going to Alaska is that
8:41
there are no other cruise lines that
8:43
really have this type of vibe, this fun
8:46
nightlife loving inclusive dining
8:48
experiences in those Alaskan
8:50
itineraries. Often the types of cruise
8:52
lines that go to Alaska are quite stuffy
8:55
and not the same vibe as Virgin Voyages.
8:58
So I think actually having Virgin
9:00
Voyages in Alaska will be a really
9:02
unique experience. And even if you've
9:04
been to Alaska before, I think doing it
9:06
with Virgin Voyages will be a new
9:08
experience entirely. What I will say
9:10
though is that there hasn't been a ton
9:11
of cold weather voyages on Brilliant
9:13
Lady yet. So, we'd love to see what this
9:16
really looks like in earnest. So, we'll
9:18
be taking a really close look at
9:19
Brilliant Lady when she moves into the
9:21
Alaskan season. And we'll be keeping you
9:23
up to date on here. Which reminds me,
9:25
just to get you to check now, are you
9:28
subscribed to this channel? cuz if
9:29
you're not, you're going to miss out
9:31
when we hear about all these new things
9:32
coming up in 2026. So, make sure that
9:35
you stay subscribed to this channel for
9:38
even more information on news and guides
9:40
on Virgin Voyages as 2026 unfolds.
9:43
Moving on to number four, and this is
9:45
all about entertainment. This means new
9:48
shows not only on the ship. I'm also
9:51
talking about entertainment from Virgin
9:53
Voyages moving on to land. Let me tell
9:56
you more about that. So, first of all,
9:58
just to mention that 2025 was a huge
10:00
year for entertainment on Virgin
10:02
Voyages, including the launch of all the
10:05
new Brilliant Lady entertainment and
10:07
shows, which was a huge amount to cover
10:09
in the first place, but they actually
10:11
launched brand new shows on Scarlet Lady
10:14
as well, including something that's went
10:16
down incredibly well with audiences on
10:19
Scarlet Lady. So, of course, first off,
10:21
on Brilliant Lady, there was a huge
10:23
amount of new shows and entertainment
10:25
with the big standouts being the two
10:27
headline shows, including Out of Time
10:30
and Red Hot, as well as a brand new
10:32
dinner cabaret show called Up with a
10:34
Twist, which is a personal favorite of
10:36
ours here at VV Insider. Over on Scarlet
10:39
Lady, there was actually a brand new
10:41
show called Boot, Alola's Library Story,
10:44
which acts as a prequel to a show that's
10:47
seen on Resilient Lady due to the
10:49
popularity of that show over on Virgin
10:51
Voyagers third ship, Resilient. Now,
10:53
we've heard some teasers already that
10:56
2026 will be bringing some new
10:58
entertainment on board. We're not sure
11:00
about exactly what form that will take
11:02
or which ships it will be on. We're
11:04
assuming Valiant Lady for reasons I'll
11:06
come on to in just a moment. But there
11:08
was also an announcement that some of
11:10
the entertainment that you've seen on
11:12
board the Virgin Voyager ships is
11:14
actually making its way on land in 2026.
11:18
Now, this might sound quite bizarre from
11:19
a cruise company, but actually Virgin
11:21
Voyages are not a newcomer when it comes
11:24
to moving the ship shows onto land with
11:27
Dual Reality having performances on land
11:30
over the past year or so. And if you've
11:32
seen dual reality on any of the Virgin
11:34
Voyages ships, you'll know exactly why.
11:37
Some of the entertainment that has been
11:39
designed to be on board is worldclass
11:42
enough to make its way onto land as
11:44
well. With Virgin Voyages themselves
11:47
investing in a 30,000 square foot
11:49
rehearsal facility in Orlando, Florida,
11:52
it's been announced that the show Boos,
11:54
a Lola's Library Story, which is the
11:56
prequel to Lola's Library, will be
11:59
getting an online production as well.
12:02
This doesn't mean that it's leaving the
12:03
ship. In fact, all it means is that it
12:05
received such good feedback that they're
12:08
looking to bring a landbased production
12:10
of this in 2026. One other bit of news
12:13
around this, and the only other thing
12:14
that we've had confirmed about moving to
12:16
land, is that Scarlet Knight will
12:19
actually make its land debut in 2026. If
12:23
you've ever been on any of the Virgin
12:25
Voyages ships before and you've
12:27
participated in Scarlet Night, which is
12:29
the big red themed party that Virgin
12:32
Voyages put on with the octopus goddess,
12:34
all manner of incredible things that
12:36
happen on Scarlet Night. If you want to
12:38
know more about Scarlet Knight, we have
12:39
a video all about that and I'll link it
12:41
in the comments. But Scarlet Knight
12:43
itself is actually making its way to
12:46
Virgin Hotels with the first two onland
12:49
Scarlet Nights going ahead in Virgin
12:51
Hotels in London Shortorditch and Virgin
12:54
Hotels Las Vegas. We don't know exactly
12:57
when this is going to happen, but we
12:58
know that it will be in 2026. So again,
13:01
stick around and stay subscribed to
13:03
vvincider.com
13:05
so we can tell you exactly what we know
13:07
as soon as we know it. But all of these
13:09
changes and all of these productions
13:11
will be happening under a new production
13:13
house which is called Screw It, Let's Do
13:15
It Productions, which has been set up by
13:18
Virgin Voyages to make these new
13:20
productions happen. Being huge fans of
13:22
the entertainment on board Virgin
13:24
Voyages, we'll be taking a good look at
13:25
this in the new year and bringing you
13:27
all the information as soon as we have
13:29
it. So, the fifth thing to look out for
13:31
in 2026 is more specialized and themed
13:35
voyages. If you've not been on a
13:37
specialtity or a themed voyage before,
13:39
here's what you need to know. So, a
13:41
specialtity voyage is all themed around
13:44
the things that are happening on the
13:45
calendar at the time of the voyage. With
13:48
sailings tied to things like music and
13:50
culture and world events, and we've
13:52
already seen a lot of these specialtity
13:54
voyages in the past. So, if you've been
13:56
lucky enough to go along to one of the
13:58
celebration voyages before, this is
14:01
often where you'll see things like
14:02
Richard Branson showing up or special
14:04
fireside talks by the Virgin Voyages
14:07
executives. The celebration voyages have
14:09
actually been renamed Red Hot Sailings.
14:12
But then we've also seen specialtity
14:13
voyages around particular music events.
14:16
So, for example, very recently there's
14:18
been a Nikki Jam voyage with programming
14:21
that was designed around the artist
14:23
Nikki Jam. There's also been in the
14:25
calendar the eat and drink festival
14:26
voyages where the menus around the ships
14:29
actually get some brand new addition
14:30
with some featured items only for those
14:33
eat and drink festival sailings. Then of
14:36
course you've got some special sailings
14:37
that are hosted around Halloween and the
14:40
holidays. Well, 2026 kicks off with a
14:43
well-being season with voyages that have
14:45
special programming added to the
14:47
schedules all around well-being. Virgin
14:49
Voyages have made a pledge to say that
14:52
these specialtity and these themed
14:53
sailings will feature more heavily as
14:56
the itineraries are announced in the
14:58
future and the schedule in 2026 already
15:00
includes a huge number of these
15:02
specialtity and themed voyages. These
15:05
particular sailings are really good for
15:06
those of us that have sailed with Virgin
15:08
Voyages multiple times in the past and
15:10
are looking for something a little bit
15:12
different. So, we're really excited to
15:14
go along to one of the eat and drink
15:16
festival voyages in the new year because
15:18
although we do love the food on board
15:20
the Virgin Voyages ships, it is nice to
15:23
have something new every now and again.
15:24
If there are any particular specialtity
15:26
or themed voyages that you're looking
15:28
forward to, let us know in the comments.
15:30
So, the thing we're looking forward to
15:32
the most in 2026 is the Valiant Lady Dry
15:35
Dock. So, it's been confirmed that
15:37
Virgin Voyages second ship, Valiant
15:40
Lady, is due to enter a dry dog period
15:43
on the 9th of May, 2026. For those in
15:46
the know, you'll already know that two
15:48
of the Virgin Voyages ships have already
15:50
been in for a dry dock. The first one
15:52
being Scarlet Lady at the end of 2024,
15:55
and then Brilliant Lady went in for a
15:57
dry dock before summer in 2025. That was
16:01
a slightly unscheduled dry dock and that
16:03
was to get her ready for her big launch.
16:06
But Valiant Lady has been in service
16:07
since 2022 and she's ready for a lick of
16:11
paint. So if you're not familiar with
16:13
what a dry dock is, this is where they
16:15
take the ship fully out of commission
16:18
for 2 weeks and they go top to bottom to
16:20
make sure the ship is fighting fit and
16:23
ready for a few more seasons on the
16:25
water. And the reason why people like us
16:27
get very excited by the notion of a dry
16:29
dock is that this is Virgin Voyages
16:31
opportunity to make some big changes to
16:34
the ship before she heads out for the
16:36
next few years. And personally, we think
16:38
in particular Valiant Lady is a perfect
16:41
candidate for this treatment. So, what
16:43
are we expecting to see? Well, we don't
16:44
have any concrete information from
16:46
Virgin Voyages about what to expect out
16:48
of Valiant Lady, but there are a few
16:51
things that we've been theorizing about.
16:53
The first one being the restaurant. So,
16:55
if you've been following along, you'll
16:57
know that Scarlet Lady had a brand new
16:59
restaurant when she came out of a dry
17:01
dock in 2024. And this was called Lucky
17:04
Lotus by Razledazzle. This is where
17:07
Razledazzle, which traditionally served
17:09
up American comfort food, changed
17:11
entirely to Lucky Lotus by Razledazzle,
17:14
which was an Asian themed restaurant.
17:16
This of course is a huge change of
17:18
direction and it was very welcome to see
17:21
especially from many sailors that have
17:23
been on the Virgin Voyager ships in the
17:25
past and wanted a little bit of a
17:27
change. Then we had Brilliant Ladies Dry
17:29
Dock before she launched in September
17:31
2025 and right enough we got another
17:35
brand new Razledazzle. This time we got
17:37
Rojo by Razledazzle which is a Spanish
17:40
themed restaurant. We also saw some big
17:43
changes to the structure of the ship,
17:45
including a brand new roundabout area
17:47
and a brand new athletics club that I
17:50
mentioned earlier in this video. Well,
17:52
that brings us on to Valiant Lady. What
17:54
will we expect to see? Well, the
17:56
correlation would indicate that we're
17:58
going to get a brand new restaurant in
18:00
Razledazzle, which means a new world
18:03
cuisine will be on offer on the ship.
18:06
Now, we could only speculate at this
18:07
point what type of cuisine we might see
18:09
in Valiant Lady, but I'd like to know
18:11
your thoughts. What do you think the
18:13
next world cuisine will be when Valiant
18:16
Lady relaunches after her dry dock in
18:18
the new year? Let me know in the
18:19
comments what you think. But that leaves
18:21
us with the question of will there be
18:22
any other material changes to Valiant
18:25
Lady that we'll expect to see. So, will
18:27
she, for example, get the same treatment
18:29
that The Roundabout got on Brilliant
18:31
Lady? But personally, I'd love to see if
18:33
there's anything brand new. I think
18:35
these are the things that we can easily
18:37
predict are going to happen. But
18:39
actually, I think this is really Virgin
18:40
Voyagers opportunity to surprise us all
18:43
and maybe change an area on the ship
18:45
that we're not expecting. So, it'll be
18:47
really interesting to see what happens
18:49
with this new dry dock. Whatever
18:51
happens, we'll know for sure on the 25th
18:54
of May when the newly relaunched Valiant
18:56
Lady starts the Amalfi Coast Can and Ia
18:59
sailing, which is a six night sailing
19:02
from Rome on the 25th of May. Again,
19:05
that is available to book right now. So,
19:07
if you want to say you're one of the
19:08
first sailors on the brand new Valiant
19:11
Lady, then head over to viviansider.com.
19:14
We have all the availability, pricing,
19:16
and booking details available for you
19:18
there. So, those are the big six things
19:20
we know are coming down the track for
19:21
Virgin Voyages in 2026. I wonder if
19:24
there's anything that you think is
19:26
coming up in the new year that we've
19:28
missed or if there's any wishful
19:29
thinking that you've got that you'd like
19:31
to see from the Virgin Voyages brand
19:33
over the next year. Let me know in the
19:35
comments if there's anything that I've
19:37
missed. Well, with that comes the end of
19:39
my work here in 2025. It's been a
19:42
pleasure letting you know all about the
19:44
Virgin Voyages news over the last year.
19:47
We have so much planned for the new
19:48
year, including a bunch of sailings, and
19:51
we're going to bring you a lot more from
19:53
the actual voyages themselves. I know
19:55
over the past year, I've been sitting
19:57
down and telling you about all the
19:59
things that are going on on board. Well,
20:01
we're going to try and capture more
20:03
footage when we're actually on the ships
20:05
to show you what it's like when we're
20:07
actually sailing. So, stay tuned for all
20:09
that and stay subscribed for those new
20:11
style videos when we start sailing at
20:14
the end of January. And just a note in
20:16
general, we have some really exciting
20:18
plans for vvincider.com.
20:21
The website that we run alongside this
20:23
YouTube channel. vinsider.com is where
20:25
all of this began and it's where you can
20:27
find all of the guides, the content, and
20:30
the tools that we use to drive this
20:32
YouTube channel. We always ask for
20:35
sailor feedback, and our website only
20:37
gets better when you tell us where we're
20:39
going wrong. So, please give us all the
20:41
feedback that you have and we'll make
20:43
sure everything is ship shape over on
20:45
our website. Just one more thank you to
20:47
you this year for coming along on this
20:49
journey, watching these videos, using
20:51
our website, and booking your next
20:53
Virgin Voyage with us. That helps
20:56
support the channel and also producing
20:58
the website as well. So, if you're
21:00
thinking about booking your next Virgin
21:01
Voyage, the best way to do that is to
21:03
head over to vivinsider.com/book.
21:07
It doesn't cost you any extra. you pay
21:09
exactly what you would pay if you were
21:11
to book on the Virgin Voyages website.
21:13
The only difference is that you'll be
21:15
helping support the work that we do and
21:17
you'll be getting some extra perks as
21:19
well. So, it's a win-win. It really is.
21:21
So, that's all from me. I'm wishing you
21:23
an incredibly happy 2026 to yourself and
21:27
your family. So, thank you so much and
21:30
happy sailing.
