Red Diamond Club – ‘Diamonds’ Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

  • Lifetime Diamonds – the cumulative total of Diamonds you have earned since joining the Red Diamond Club, including Diamonds linked to future sailings.
  • Diamonds Upcoming – Diamonds allocated to confirmed bookings whose sail date has not yet begun.
  • Diamonds Available – Diamonds that have reached their sail date and are therefore eligible for redemption.
  • Gifts – onboard perks that can be added to an already-booked, upcoming Virgin Voyages sailing. They are given purely as a gesture of appreciation and are not intended to influence or incentivise future bookings.

2. Earning Diamonds

  1. You earn one (1) Diamond for every US $600 (or the booking-currency equivalent as determined by VV Insider post sail) of qualifying spend on a Virgin Voyages cruise booked solely through VV Insider on or after 1 January 2026.
    1. Bookings made before 1 January 2026 will earn Diamonds at the rate in effect at the time the booking was made.
  2. Diamonds are credited only to the primary Sailor (lead passenger) named on the booking. Fellow Sailors travelling on the same booking do not earn Diamonds.
  3. Qualifying spend excludes, without limitation:
    • taxes, fees, and port charges
    • gratuities
    • insurance
    • air or ground transport
    • pre-paid onboard packages
    • any onboard expenditure made after the cruise has started
  4. Diamonds are credited to your account at the time of booking and move from Diamonds Upcoming to Diamonds Available at 00:01 (UTC) on the calendar day your voyage begins, provided that:
    • the cruise sails as scheduled, and
    • the booking remains with VV Insider up to and including the sail date.
  5. If a booking is cancelled, fully refunded, or transferred to another travel agent before the sail date, the Diamonds linked to that booking will be removed from your balance.

3. Redeeming Diamonds

  1. Diamonds Available may be exchanged for Gifts for use on future Virgin Voyages sailings booked through VV Insider.
  2. A maximum value of US $100 may be redeemed per sailing. Redemption requests may be declined if they conflict with Gifts. VV Insider will confirm eligibility on a case-by-case basis; all decisions are final. If a request is declined, the Diamonds will be re-credited to your account.
  3. Gifts:
    • are applied per booking;
    • have no cash value and is non-refundable;
    • must be used during the sailing for which they are issued;
    • can not be returned or carried forward if unused.
    • are issued independently by VV Insider and are not provided, endorsed, or funded by Virgin Voyages.
  4. Redemption requests must be submitted no later than fourteen (14) days before the voyage departure date.

4. General Conditions

  1. Diamonds are personal to the account holder, have no monetary value, and cannot be sold, gifted, transferred, or pooled with other Sailors.
    1. In limited circumstances, and at VV Insider’s sole discretion, Diamonds may be transferred between Sailors who have demonstrably sailed together on multiple Virgin Voyages bookings made through VV Insider. Each request is reviewed individually; VV Insider’s decision is final and any approved transfer is irreversible.
  2. VV Insider reserves the right to audit, adjust, or remove Diamonds in cases of error, suspected fraud, or booking amendment.
  3. Programme rules, earning rates, redemption options, and conversion values may be changed or withdrawn at any time. Material changes will be announced on vvinsider.com with at least 30 days’ notice.
  4. Participation in the Red Diamond Club is subject to:
    • these Diamond Terms & Conditions;
    • Virgin Voyages’ Booking Conditions; and
    • the VV Insider Website Terms of Use.
      In the event of conflict, these Diamond Terms & Conditions shall prevail for matters relating to Diamonds.
  5. These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
