Virgin Voyages has confirmed that its 10% Pay in Full Discount will be removed from its promotions lineup on October 14, 2026.

The long-running offer has allowed sailors to save an additional 10% on their voyage fare when booking and paying in full at least 365 days before departure.

Virgin Voyages has now confirmed that sailors must book and pay in full by October 14 to receive the discount. The offer will no longer be available for new bookings from October 15.

Virgin Voyages Confirms End of Pay in Full Discount

VV Insider compared the latest promotional terms, dated October 12, 2026, with an earlier version published on May 14, 2026. Previously, the terms stated that the Pay in Full Discount would remain available indefinitely, although Virgin Voyages reserved the right to discontinue it with reasonable notice.

However, the updated terms replaced that wording with a specific booking deadline of 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on October 14, 2026.

Virgin Voyages has since confirmed the removal of the promotion, stating:

Pay in Full steps out of our promotions lineup on Wednesday, Oct. 14th. Sailors eyeing a voyage more than 365 days away can still get the extra 10% when they pay in full at checkout by October 14.

The announcement confirms that the Pay in Full Discount is being discontinued rather than simply reaching the end of its existing promotional terms.

The change comes with little notice, as the revised terms were published just two days before the deadline.

What Was the Virgin Voyages Pay in Full Discount?

The Pay in Full Discount rewarded sailors who booked their voyages at least 365 days before departure and paid the full balance upfront. Eligible bookings received an additional 10% discount on the voyage fare, calculated after other applicable promotional discounts.

For example, a $3,000 voyage fare would receive an additional $300 saving if no other discounts applied.

The offer was available on eligible Insider, Sea View, and Sea Terrace cabins across Base, Essential, and Premium fares. Lock-it-in cabins and certain discounted rates, including Interline Rates, were excluded.

Sailors also had to complete payment within two hours of selecting the discount during booking.

Will the Pay in Full Discount Return?

Virgin Voyages has confirmed that the Pay in Full Discount is being removed from its promotions lineup. No replacement offer has been announced, and there is currently no indication that the discount will return.

The promotion has been a long-standing benefit for sailors booking well in advance, particularly those planning voyages more than a year ahead.

Sailors who still want to take advantage of the offer must book and pay in full by October 14, 2026, provided their voyage departs more than 365 days later.

Existing bookings that have already received the Pay in Full Discount will retain their savings.

VV Insider will continue to monitor Virgin Voyages’ promotions for any future replacement offers.

I have three future bookings that I have paid in full for with VV and have used it when booking more than a year in advance which, as a solo is best to do to get the best price and availability – especially with solo cabins.

For my June 2028 booking costing 1508.23 inc gratuities (using today’s prices) I save £116 by paying in full. That means they have £1275.83 now instead of waiting until I pay that balance in 2028. I know it’s not much on it’s own but times that by 1000 sailors and it’s over £1.2 million quid based off a solo insider cabin.

With Resilient due a dry dock soon that money would have come in handy to pay towards that and the balance books won’t look as healthy as people keep their balances until the last possible moment to pay.

The Reduced Single Supplement Offer also has the same end date of October 14, 2026. As a solo sailor, I used the Pay in Full Discount to help offset the solo supplement. I will be reconsidering other cruise lines in the future.

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Don’t worry the solo offer isn’t going away, it’s just the way their website lists today’s date for the offer. We’ll continue to list each month: https://vvinsider.com/tag/solo/

RIP 365 day pay in full discount. We had some good times and i used you a lot. You will be missed.
I have nine future sailings and four were with the 365 day discount 😔

I really don’t see this as a major issue. If they offered 10% off at 6 months out, that would be a difference to me. At one year or more, investments currently earn a rate of return of 12% plus. It makes more sense to leave the money in investment accounts and only pull it out when payments have to be made.
I’m hoping they come up with a different incentive.

I would like to know where you are getting a 12% risk-free after tax return! Sign me up!

      1. John Padilla says:

Yeah really! Thats bad advice. I’m in the business and I would get in a lot of trouble if I advised such a thing.

  5. Mark says:

This one makes no sense to me, as someone who books and pays in advance.

I’ve locked in for several future voyages, and committed, in-part, because I was enticed by the 10% discount. Without that discount, I’d have booked much later, in which time I might have been tempted in by NCL, or a completely different type of vacation.

After the gratuities change last year, this is another disguised cost increase.

When there’s no scope to increase costs further, unfortunately, they’ll start reducing quality.

Happenings cast numbers reduced from 12 to 10. Then a few years later down to 8, as an example.

    Food quality reduced.

Maybe we don’t need to offer free bubbles for Sail Away?

This product is special, but this another update which doesn’t bode well for the future direction, in my opinion, sadly.

I do hope I’m wrong (and this is swiftly replaced by a different, equivalent offer)

    1. Antoine says:

Happenings Cast has not been reduced.

    2. Joshua Smith says:

I’m guessing business/bookings are good enough to the point they no longer feel the need to offer the discount.

    3. Glen Hendy says:

I do feel more committed when I have paid in full for a cruise and all this will do is make me book as usual but not pay in full until I have to. Of course, if another cruise comes up in the meantime then losing a deposit to future voyage credit is just a call to Sailor Services, or a helpful First Mate so the loyalty to stay with Virgin is no longer there.

As for cutting the happenings cast, I can see the influencer roles being reduced and the stage performers being called to cover events like sailaway. Also, some of the events onboard are being cut back already. The first night of the LGBTQ+ Meetup wasn’t hosted on Scarlet (and I was told they don’t put anyone on it,) compared to the diva and a happenings cast member being on the Brilliant meetup in March and the solo meet ups aren’t every day now, how long until the sailaway bubbles become a voucher for one drink like P&O on their celebration night?!
