Tender Changes

As Virgin Voyages moves into the European season, more tender ports will be in use, including popular destinations like Cannes, France, and Santorini, Greece, as well as new stops like Lerwick, Scotland, on the Iceland itineraries.

In previous years, sailors could pre-book tender slots, but this year, Virgin Voyages has changed the process. Tender slots must now be booked on board via the app, and pre-booking is no longer an option. This change may impact those arranging third-party shore excursions, as the exact timing to get ashore will be unknown until boarding.

However, RockStars and those with Shore Things booked will have priority and do not need to book tenders. For more details on the tender process, check out our guide.

App Updates

Virgin Voyages continues refining its app, and a recent update now correctly displays priority boarding times. Eligible sailors, including those with Deep Blue Extras and Splash of Romance, will see the accurate 1:45 PM priority arrival time. This update helps eliminate previous confusion about when priority boarding begins. For more details, see our guide on boarding the ship early.

Restaurant Limit Changes

Starting today February 27th, Virgin Voyages is adjusting dining reservation limits again to improve availability. This update reduces down the number of nights that are needed to hit each threshold. Sailors are always welcome to walk up for dinner.

  • 1-5 Nights: 1 dinner per restaurant
  • 6-8 Nights: 2 dinners per restaurant
  • 9+ Nights: 3 dinners per restaurant

This change should help sailors secure reservations at popular spots like The Wake. Our guide has been updated with the latest details.
