Brilliant Lady Anchored in Malaga

Brilliant Lady, set to launch September 5, 2025, will be anchored in Malaga for the winter. Sailors on the recent repositioning cruise from the UK to Morocco had a close-up view of the ship. Over the next six months, Brilliant Lady will undergo extensive testing, which includes various nautical maneuvers and assessments of port access.

The ship will spend some days anchored at sea while entering the port on other occasions for operational tests. This includes evaluating the supply of food and materials onboard. The testing period is expected to conclude by May 31.

Portsmouth Port Welcomes 25K Sailors on Virgin Voyages

Portsmouth has welcomed 25,000 passengers during a successful season for Resilient Lady in August and September. This milestone makes Portsmouth the first port globally to home port all three Virgin Voyages ships since the brand’s inception in 2021.

Each ship’s visit generates about £1.5 million for the local economy, benefiting council services and local tourism. Scarlet Lady will return to Portsmouth next August for sailings to Iceland and more.
