Virgin Voyages has officially announced plans to bring all four of its ships together at sea in February 2027, marking a major first for the brand and what it says will be the first full fleet meetup of its kind in cruise history.

The reveal took place during the Red Hot Sailing Club Voyage, where Sir Richard Branson personally shared details of the upcoming fleet-wide moment during a special onboard event where four winners received four tickets to see the ship meet!

A First for the Fleet

Virgin Voyages has confirmed that Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady and Brilliant Lady will all meet at sea on February 16, 2027, during a coordinated moment in the Caribbean.

The brand is calling the event Sisters at Sea. According to Virgin Voyages, the four ships will align at the same coordinate in open water, creating a fleet-wide celebration with more than 15,000 sailors and crew across the ships.

From Rumor to Reality

Interest in a Virgin Voyages fleet meetup has been building for some time. Earlier reports suggested a similar moment could happen in 2026, and many sailors were keen to see it become a reality.

However, Virgin Voyages later clarified that the original press release referred to ships already sailing in the Caribbean, and that there were no plans for a meetup at that time. You can read our previous coverage here.

For 2027, that idea has now become official, with the brand confirming a planned four ship convergence as part of a special celebration at sea.

The “Sisters at Sea” Voyages

Virgin Voyages has confirmed that the following four sailings will be part of the Sisters at Sea meetup window. These voyages overlap in the Caribbean in mid February, several of which are themed around Valentine’s week. This will allow all four ships to meet before continuing on their separate itineraries. Itinerary adjustments have occurred to ensure all four ships are at sea at the same time.

When Will the Ships Meet?

Virgin Voyages has confirmed the fleet meetup will take place on February 16, 2027.

That date falls within a shared sailing window for all four ships, with the meetup set to happen during open water rather than in port. The event is expected to be one of the defining moments of Virgin Voyages’ 2027 calendar.

Where Will the Ships Meet?

The planned meetup point is listed as 22°12’57″N, 77°16’07″W, around 38 nautical miles north of Nuevitas, Cuba.

“There are voyages, and then there are moments that are so epic they become lifelong memories. Sisters at Sea is the latter, and we have so much planned to blow your mind and make you laugh and cry with joy.” – CMO, Nathan Rosenberg

A Moment in Brand Her-Story

Virgin Voyages says the Sisters at Sea moment will include a synchronized horn salute with simultaneous deck parties across all four ships. Expect musical guests, commemorative keepsakes and aerial filming to capture the meetup from above.

While exact onboard programming has not yet been fully detailed, the event is being positioned as both a fleet milestone and a celebration of the sailors, crew, First Mates and loyal fans who have supported the brand since launch.

The company has also said that sailors on these voyages will get an exclusive preview of Virgin Voyages’ future roadmap while at sea.

Sir Richard Branson will also be involved in the celebration, with plans to make appearances across multiple ships as the fleet comes together.

When we launched Scarlet Lady, we had a vision, and that vision was always four ships but one community,” said Virgin Founder Sir Richard Branson. “This fleetwide meet-up is that dream made real. At Virgin, we want to be the reason someone smiles today. Next year, 15,000 smiles at sea are guaranteed as we celebrate our brilliant Crew and the hundreds of thousands of Sailors who truly own this gathering. Thank you to each and every one of you for being the wind in our sails.”

Woohoo! How exciting!!! I have been booked on the 10 day sailing out of Miami for quite some time now and could not believe the news when I read my email about the changes to my sailing. It’s going to be epic.

  2. Anne Suteras says:

Saw RL in Melbourne Australia back in 2024. Was hoping you would visit Australia again and getting excited. Alas, now I have Stage 4 Glioblastoma and starting chemo and radiation for 3 months, etc. Damn! Best cruise ever with VV. Enjoy you lucky 😁🛳❤️

  3. Nicole says:

My itinerary has already changed on the app. They replaced Jamaica with Freeport Bahamas.

  4. EM says:

This would be so much fun! I worked on Disney Cruise Lines when they were new in the late 90s and early 2000s. They had two ships back then and would sometimes meet on their private island on Castaway Caye. It was always a magical time. I can only imagine with new innovation we have today and with four ships, Virgin’s meet up is going to be especially spectacular!

One observation: The Valiant Lady is currently scheduled to be docked in Curacao on February 16th. The meetup is stated to be north of Cuba… This indicates that Valiant will likely see an itinerary change. Unless I’m reading things incorrectly. Not to stir up the pot! I checked because we love the current itinerary and might consider booking it if it remains, but it seems to be more likely to be adjusted.

Thanks as always VV Insider for the breaking news and info! 🙂

We didn’t have the new itineraries when we first wrote the article, everything is now up to date with these changes.
