Virgin Voyages Kicks Off 2025 with Record-Breaking Bookings
Virgin Voyages begins 2025 with record-breaking bookings and a nearly sold-out first quarter, marking the strongest start in the company’s history.
Virgin Voyages has started 2025 with unprecedented demand, marking a significant milestone in its growth. With nearly all cabins sold out for the first quarter, the company is reporting its strongest start yet. This also includes a 60% increase in revenue year over year and a 40% rise in new bookings.
Strong Performance from Deals & Brilliant Lady
The strong performance follows a successful 2024, highlighted by a busy holiday season and Black Friday promotions that included popular $99 per sailor per night offers. Virgin Voyages is also seeing higher-than-expected bookings for the upcoming ship Brilliant Lady, which will join the fleet later on September 5th 2025.
Virgin Voyages CEO Nirmal Saverimuttu credits this growth to the brand’s focus on feedback from its sailors and travel advisors.
“Last year delivered growth from new and repeat sailors, showing the strength of our service and inclusive approach.”
Q&A Video with Richard Branson
As part of the press release Virgin Voyages also released a Q&A video with CEO Nirmal Saverimuttu and COO Michelle Bentubo highlighting some of the successes of the season and looking ahead to 2025.
New Additions and Expanded Offerings
As part of its growth, Virgin Voyages is rolling out new features in 2025 which we reported on last month such as new entertainment, menus and on board activities. We’ve already start to see this roll out with updates to Valiant Lady’s entertainment announced yesterday. Brilliant Lady’s debut in September will complete the fleet, offering sailors more travel options from homeports like New York, Miami, and Barcelona.
Looking Ahead
Virgin Voyages’ rise reflects a broader trend of increasing demand for adult-only vacations away from kids. Virgin Voyages heads into 2025 focused on evolving through feedback and offering new travel experiences for those seeking a different way to cruise.
These details were revealed in a press release from Virgin Voyages on the 27th January.
