VV Insider was founded in August 2023 by two frequent sailors (Rob Sammons & David Todd) who love Virgin Voyages. We have over a decade of cruising experience across the industry

We are not travel agents and do not work with third parties, which means we are an entirely independent source of information with no affiliations. We create content that is free from commercial bias, providing a reliable resource where the Virgin Voyages community can find information and share their experiences.

The Story
We’ve been sailing on cruise ships for over a decade with many years on Disney Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Viking Ocean amongst others.
When we first discovered Virgin Voyages in August 2021 from Portsmouth, UK we were amazed by the new approach to cruising that was more in line with the way we like to cruise. Since then we have sailed with friends and family a combined 25+ Virgin Voyages sailings across all three ships bringing a wealth of experience to the website.
The idea for VV Insider was born out of a love for the brand but also in providing accurate up to date information for other sailors on board the voyages. We have an extensive catalog of pages and add more weekly to ensure we provide sailors with the latest information.
The Team
- David Todd – Co-Founder and Director. David has a background in web design and development and writes travel content, vacation guides and tips about Virgin Voyages.
- Rob Sammons – Co-Founder and Editor. Rob is an iOS developer and writer with a passion for theme parks and extensive cruise experience, blending technical know how with a love for Virgin Voyages nearing 15 sailings around the world.
We also collaborate with other sailors who will regularly provide us with up to date content and imagery. If you’d like to help with our efforts please do let us know.
