Valiant Lady’s biggest dry dock yet is underway in Palermo, with new construction photos revealing major work across the ship.
Valiant Lady’s major May 2026 dry dock is now fully underway, with new behind the scenes construction photos being shared by Virgin Voyages CMO Nathan Rosenberg on Instagram as work continues at Fincantieri Palermo.
The images show heavy construction taking place across multiple areas of the ship, including large scale scaffolding, stripped back venues, open deck work, and ongoing technical projects as Virgin Voyages carries out what appears to be the line’s biggest dry dock project to date.
Valiant Lady arrived at the Palermo shipyard earlier this month and is expected to remain there until later in May before returning to service on May 25, 2026.

With construction now fully underway in Palermo, even more updates are expected to emerge over the coming days as work continues across Valiant Lady. While Virgin Voyages regularly carries out scheduled maintenance and updates, Valiant Lady’s current project is far more extensive than a standard refresh.
