Brilliant Lady’s Leading Ladies Revealed: Meet The Diva and The Hostess
Two Virgin Voyages veterans will headline Brilliant Lady’s debut season, bringing new shows and energy to the MerMaiden sailings.
We’re excited to announce the first two cast members confirmed for Brilliant Lady’s Happenings Cast line-up, and it is a pairing that promises serious star power.
They will headline onboard entertainment during the preview sailings in late August, before leading the charge on the MerMaiden voyage on September 5, 2025. Rehearsals begin soon as the pair get ready to bring a fresh wave of energy to the fleet’s newest ship. Catch them on board until February 12th 2026.
Abi Gold: Launching Her Fourth Virgin Voyages Ship
Abi Gold is no stranger to the spotlight or to a ship launch. She has been with Virgin Voyages since the very beginning, joining the company before Scarlet Lady even set sail in 2020.
She helped launch:
- Scarlet Lady in 2021
- Valiant Lady in 2022
- Resilient Lady in 2023
Now, Brilliant Lady will mark Abi’s fourth ship launch, making her the only performer to appear in the opening Happenings Cast for every ship in the fleet.
Outside of Virgin Voyages, Abi recently performed in Mamma Mia on Royal Caribbean. But this summer, she returns to help complete the fleet. On board, she will be performing the fleet-wide show Love Love Love with The Hostess, which launched last year, along with plenty of other appearances and pop-ups around the ship.
Dixie Krystals: A Diva with Range
Joining Brilliant Lady is Dixie Krystals, a long-standing performer in the drag community who has been part of Virgin Voyages since January 2024.
She quickly became a standout onboard with the launch of a brand new show “Lights Camera Drag”, and brings over 25 years of experience in live vocals and comedy. Dixie has performed at Disney World and with Princess Cruise Lines, and was also featured on Discovery Plus in Generation Drag.
For Brilliant Lady, Dixie will debut a brand new country drag show titled The Diva Goes West. It will be a fresh addition to the lineup and a chance for sailor to experience her incredible versatility as a performer.
The Perfect Pairing for a New Ship
Together, they are the ultimate power duo. With years of experience, strong roots in the Virgin Voyages community, and a genuine connection with audiences, they are the ideal choice to lead Brilliant Lady into her first chapter.
