  • pro Has an iconic red hammock

Cabin 14090A has an iconic red hammock on the balcony. This is a great place to relax and enjoy the view.

  • pro Has a glass balcony

Cabin 14090A’s balcony railings are made of glass. As opposed to some cabins closer to the edges of the deck plan that have steel railings. This glass railing allows for a better view of the ocean when sitting down.

Bad Points About Cabin 14090A

  • con Close to noisy operations

This cabin can be noisy because it is close to parts of the ship that can make a lot of operational noise which could include restaurant kitchens, the engine room or where the anchor chain is kept depending on where you are located on the ship.
  • con Walk to elevators / lifts

This cabin is farther from the elevators and lifts than others, so it might take a bit longer to reach the onboard venues. However, Virgin Voyages ships are not as large as some other cruise ships.

Cabin 14090A Location

The ’A’ in the cabin number means it is on the port side of the ship (left of the ship if you’re looking straight forward). This can sometimes be important if you’re doing a repositioning voyage like a Transatlantic crossing as it will determine if you will have the sunshine or not.

If you are noise sensitive, I would not suggest this cabin. There is quite a bit of noise from the carts rolling through the galley on the floor above. The noise can mostly be heard on the balcony, but some noise can be heard in the room. It wasn’t enough to be a problem for me or my husband, as we are pretty heavy sleepers, but I definitely know it would’ve been a problem for others. Other than that, the view was amazing and we loved how convenient it was to the galley.
