Virgin Voyages has updated the itinerary for the Mayan Sol voyage departing June 15, 2025, due to needed engine maintenance.

This is the second change to a Valiant Lady itinerary in just one week – a rare occurrence, but one that does seem to be happening more, it was a similar swap on the early‑June sailing.

Now, instead of visiting Costa Maya on Day 3, the ship will call at Cozumel, with extra time ashore to enjoy.

Original Itinerary: Mayan Sol

• Day 1 – Sunday, June 15: Miami, Florida
• Day 2 – Monday, June 16: At Sea
• Day 3 – Tuesday, June 17: Costa Maya, Mexico (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Day 4 – Wednesday, June 18: At Sea
• Day 5 – Thursday, June 19: The Beach Club at Bimini, Bahamas
• Day 6 – Friday, June 20: Miami, Florida

Updated Itinerary: Riviera Maya

• Day 1 – Sunday, June 15: Miami, Florida
• Day 2 – Monday, June 16: At Sea
• Day 3 – Tuesday, June 17: Cozumel, Mexico (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
• Day 4 – Wednesday, June 18: At Sea
• Day 5 – Thursday, June 19: The Beach Club at Bimini, Bahamas
• Day 6 – Friday, June 20: Miami, Florida

Virgin Voyages realises this mid‑week twist may be unwelcome to those expecting Costa Maya. However, Cozumel remains a beloved spot, and the longer stay should give sailors plenty of time to explore.

Passengers with Shore Things booked in Costa Maya will receive an automatic refund, and new excursions for Cozumel will go on sale soon.
