Virgin Voyages has released its planned itineraries for Scarlet Lady’s 2027 summer season. The ship, which first launched in 2020, will spend another year in European waters, with sailings departing from Barcelona and Athens. The new schedule includes routes through the central and eastern Mediterranean, as well as a transatlantic crossing from Florida to Spain via Morocco.

Season Begins with Transatlantic Sailing

The season opens on 24 April 2027 with a 14-night transatlantic voyage from Miami to Barcelona. This crossing includes port calls in the Canary Islands and along the Moroccan and Spanish coastlines — including Casablanca, Cádiz, and Málaga. These ports offer a mix of cultural and historical experiences, from the Moorish architecture of southern Spain to Casablanca’s blend of colonial and modern influences.

Return to the Mediterranean

Once in Europe, Scarlet Lady will operate a series of sailings that range from 7 to 8 nights in length. The early part of the season includes an 8-night cruise from Barcelona to Athens, calling at Ajaccio (Corsica), Rome, Naples, Palermo, Santorini, and Mykonos. This route covers a cross-section of the western and eastern Mediterranean and includes some of the region’s best-known ports.

Itineraries Departing from Athens

Several of the 2027 routes will depart from Athens (Piraeus), providing access to both the Aegean and Adriatic Seas. The itineraries include a mix of Greek islands, Turkish resorts, and Balkan destinations:

• Greek Island Hues & Turkish Views (16 May 2027) visits Santorini, Chania (Crete), Kuşadası, and Mykonos.
• Greek Island Glow includes Rhodes, Bodrum, and Mykonos, with a sea day included. This itinerary will run on multiple dates between May and July.
• Croatia, Montenegro, Greece & Albania adds Dubrovnik, Kotor, and Sarandë to the schedule — ports that offer a mix of Venetian architecture, Adriatic coastline, and emerging tourism infrastructure.
• Malta, Greece & Croatia includes Valletta, Santorini, and Dubrovnik — combining UNESCO-listed capitals with high-footfall cruise destinations.
