Virgin Hotels to Open in Miami in 2026, Minutes from Terminal V
Virgin Hotels will open in Miami’s Brickell district in 2026, just minutes from Terminal V, offering a seamless land-to-sea experience.
As reported by Boutique Hotelier, Virgin Hotels will open a new location in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood in 2026, adding to its U.S. portfolio with a property that places it just over two miles from Virgin Voyages’ Terminal V at PortMiami.
The hotel will be located at 1040 S. Miami Avenue, in the heart of Downtown Miami’s Financial District. The 40-story new build will include 250 hotel chambers, 150 residential units, and a mix of branded dining and lifestyle spaces — including the Commons Club, a beer garden, and a rooftop pool and lounge.
A Strategic Move for the Virgin Brand
Virgin Hotels CEO James Bermingham told Boutique Hotelier that the company is “aggressively targeting” key locations across the U.S., with a particular focus on cities where Virgin Voyages and Virgin Atlantic operate.
“Anywhere where Virgin flies to or Virgin Voyages goes to is a priority for us,” Bermingham said.
The Miami hotel joins an expansion push that also includes a new site in Denver and a pipeline of developments in Atlanta, Charleston, and Philadelphia. Virgin Voyages recently opened in London Shoreditch.
Designed with Travelers in Mind
The hotel is expected to reflect Virgin Hotels’ existing approach to hospitality — informal but thoughtfully designed, with flexible social spaces and subtle brand elements like red accents and ergonomic beds.
Amenities confirmed so far include:
- Commons Club (restaurant, bar and social club)
- Beer garden and live music venue
- Funny Library Coffee Shop with Laughing Man® coffee
- Over 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space
- Full-service spa and communal working areas
- Three-story rooftop terrace with pool and lounge
Guests and residents will share access to all facilities, creating a lively, all-day environment geared toward work, play, and relaxation.

For Virgin Voyages sailors, the opening creates a clear opportunity to continue or kick off their holiday with the same brand values and design they’ve come to expect onboard. The hotel’s location makes it accessible from Terminal V in under 10 minutes by car, offering a convenient bridge between land and sea.
