Virgin Voyages App Update Introduces New “Planner” Tab
Virgin Voyages app update adds Planner tab with schedules, port times, and search, though some users report missing events and glitches
Virgin Voyages has started rolling out a new update to its mobile app, bringing a redesigned way to plan your time on board.
The update introduces a new “Planner” tab, which brings together the ship schedule, your personal agenda, and shore excursions into one view.
A More Useful Daily View
The Planner now shows:
- Onboard events and entertainment
- Your booked activities or favorited events
- Shore excursions that have been booked
It also includes gangway times, along with port arrival and departure times, making it easier to plan your day in port or on board.

Search is Back
Search functionality has returned, allowing you to quickly find events you already know are happening. For example, searching “Scarlet Night” will bring it straight up without scrolling through the full schedule.

Navigation Changes
The app layout has also been updated.
- The Planner tab replaces Discover in the main navigation
- Your agenda has moved out of the “Me” section
- Switch Voyage now appears in the “Me” section
- The “Me” tab now focuses on wallet, casino PIN, and add-ons
- The Services section has also been updated, with a new FAQ-style support area designed to make finding information quicker.
- Chat has moved to the “Home” section
Early Minor Issues Reported
Sailors using version 1.7.0 have reported issues with the new Planner, including missing events (after 6pm on board) or empty schedules. Virgin Voyages I.T is apparently aware and working on fixing these issues.
What To Expect
The update makes planning on board simpler, but with some early issues being reported, it may take a few updates before everything works smoothly across all devices.
