Virgin Voyages has canceled Resilient Lady’s April 28, 2027 sailing after the ship was booked for a private charter.
Affected sailors are being notified from November 2, 2026, and will have three options. These include transferring to Valiant Lady, choosing another eligible cruise, or receiving a full refund.
Virgin Voyages is also offering price protection, retaining existing promotions, and providing additional Sailor Loot for eligible rebookings.
Resilient Lady’s April 28, 2027 Cruise Canceled
The cancellation affects Resilient Lady’s scheduled April 28, 2027 “Key West & Bimini Beach Club” departure, which will no longer operate as a regular passenger cruise.
Virgin Voyages has confirmed that the ship will instead be used for a private charter. Affected sailors and First Mates are being notified of the cancellation today on November 2, 2026.
The cruise line has outlined three options for sailors with existing reservations.

What Are the Options for Affected Sailors?
Option 1: Transfer to Valiant Lady on May 6, 2027
Sailors can transfer their booking to Valiant Lady’s May 6, 2027 sailing.
Virgin Voyages will protect the original voyage fare and promotional benefits under the rebooking arrangements.
Option 2: Rebook Another April or May 2027 Cruise
Alternatively, sailors can choose another eligible 4-night or 5-night Virgin Voyages cruise departing during April or May 2027.
The original fare and promotions will be protected, allowing sailors to select an alternative departure without losing their existing booking benefits.
Sailors can browse alternative Virgin Voyages sailings through VV Insider.
Additional Sailor Loot for Rebooking
Virgin Voyages is also offering additional Sailor Loot to affected sailors who choose to rebook.
- $100 per cabin for standard accommodations.
- $300 per cabin for Suites.
These amounts are expected to apply to eligible rebookings, although the cabin-specific allocation should be confirmed against the final cancellation notice.
Option 3: Request a Full Refund
Sailors who do not wish to transfer to another voyage can request a full refund of their canceled cruise.
Those who booked through a First Mate should contact their travel agent to arrange a replacement sailing or request a refund.
Other Recent Virgin Voyages Itinerary Changes for 2027/2028
Separately, Virgin Voyages has updated five Valiant Lady itineraries departing Miami in 2027 and 2028. The changes replace scheduled port visits with stops at Grand Turk in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
October 30, 2027: Halloween Sailing
Valiant Lady’s October 30, 2027 Halloween sailing has been updated to Grand Turk & Bimini Beach Club Halloween, replacing its previously scheduled stop in Mexico with Grand Turk.
November 8, 2027: Red Hot Sailing Club Voyage
The November 8, 2027 Red Hot Sailing Club Voyage from Miami will also visit Grand Turk instead of its originally scheduled Mexican port.
January 22 and March 18, 2028: Dominican Republic Replaced
Two additional Valiant Lady departures have also been updated. The January 22 and March 18, 2028 sailings will now visit Grand Turk instead of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.
April 1, 2028: Grand Turk & Bimini Beach Club
Valiant Lady’s April 1, 2028 departure has also been updated to Grand Turk & Bimini Beach Club, replacing its scheduled Mexican port with Grand Turk.
All five sailings retain their original ship, cruise duration, and Miami departure port. These are itinerary changes rather than cruise cancellations.
Unlike the Resilient Lady cancellation, these are itinerary changes rather than canceled voyages.
