Virgin Voyages Shares New Behind-The-Scenes Look at ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’
Virgin Voyages releases a behind-the-scenes documentary exploring the making of the 2,400-voice “Don’t Stop Me Now” arrival performance in New York.
Following the release of the performance video on October 6, 2025, Virgin Voyages has now shared a new behind-the-scenes documentary showing the making of Don’t Stop Me Now — the large-scale musical moment that welcomed Brilliant Lady into New York Harbor on September 2.

The short 20 minute film highlights everything that led up to the now-famous singalong, where more than 2,400 voices joined together under the direction of Astrid Jorgensen from Pub Choir. Filmed across rehearsals, sound checks, and the arrival itself, the documentary captures the energy and emotion behind the project and celebrates the creativity of Virgin Voyages’ Crew.
The release was followed by personal messages from Virgin Group founder Richard Branson, who sent emails to both sailors and First Mates reflecting on the milestone. “As Brilliant Lady sailed into New York Harbor with 2,400 voices singing ‘Don’t Stop Me Now,’ I found myself thinking about you,” he wrote to First Mates. “You’ve been translating our rebellious spirit into real experiences for your clients.”
In a separate message to sailors, Branson spoke about the joy of connection and the meaning behind the moment. “During our NYC arrival, 2,400 voices — passengers and crew — joined together to sing Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ as Manhattan welcomed us home,” he said. “We chose that song because we’re just getting started.”

The new video arrives alongside From Dream to Deck: The Virgin Voyages Journey to Brilliant Lady, a short film featuring Branson and the Virgin Voyages team. That piece looks back at the company’s journey from early ideas to a four-ship fleet and pays tribute to the Crew who made it all possible.
