Virgin Voyages has officially launched its West Coast season, with Brilliant Lady arriving at the Port of Los Angeles on April 6, 2026, following her Panama Canal transit from Miami. The call marks the first time the cruise line has homeported in Los Angeles, introducing a new lineup of Pacific Coast, Mexico, and Canada itineraries.
The arrival signals a new phase for Virgin Voyages as it expands to the West Coast, bringing its adults-only cruise experience to California for the first time.

LA MerMaiden Sailing Departs
The season begins with the LA MerMaiden, a one-time-only five night roundtrip sailing departing April 7.
This inaugural voyage calls at Santa Barbara, San Diego and Ensenada, offering an early look at how Virgin Voyages is positioning its California coastal itineraries.
The LA MerMaiden acts as a showcase sailing, introducing the ship, new programming and the West Coast experience before a full season of departures from Los Angeles.
New Wellness Programming Introduced
Brilliant Lady also arrives with expanded wellness programming designed around movement and recovery, reflecting a stronger focus on daily routines at sea.
This includes Radiance, a sunrise experience at the Aquatic Club that combines breathwork, stretching and a silent disco style dance session through wireless headphones.
Alongside Radiance, the ship introduces eight themed Vibe Rides cycling classes and an expanded Juice Sea offering with high protein and recovery focused drinks.
The overall approach focuses on building wellness into each day onboard, rather than treating it as a separate activity.
A New West Coast Homeport
Brilliant Lady will sail a mix of five to 17 night itineraries from Los Angeles, including Pacific Coast routes, Mexican Riviera sailings and a return Panama Canal journey.
The ship will remain in Los Angeles through May 3rd before repositioning to Vancouver and then Seattle for Virgin Voyages’ first Alaska season.
