Cabin 12158A is a The Sea Terrace cabin on deck 12 of the Virgin Voyages ships. This cabin belongs to the Sea Terrace category of cabins.

This cabin has been reclassified as Ambulatory and re-coded from Central Sea Terrace to The Sea Terrace. Older deck plans may still show it as a standard Central Sea Terrace. The cabin is still mid-ship.

Bed Orientation and Position*

The foot of the bed in cabin 12158A is facing towards the front of the ship (forward), with more space on the window side, as it is nearer the bathroom.

Cabin 12158A is Designated as Ambulatory

This is an ambulatory cabin. This means it is positioned directly from the elevators / lifts so a wheelchair can be easily manoeuvred into the cabin. Guests are expected to transfer into the cabin from their wheelchair. If you need a cabin that is fully wheelchair accessible you will need a cabin designated as ‘accessible’ instead of ‘ambulatory’.

The ’A’ in the cabin number means it is on the port side of the ship (left of the ship if you’re looking straight forward). This can sometimes be important if you’re doing a repositioning voyage like a Transatlantic crossing as it will determine if you will have the sunshine or not.

    We sailed in this cabin, but I don’t have any pics. The description of the layout here is exactly correct though.

    Two things worth noting:
    It’s exactly at the doorway from the hall to the stairs. We weren’t bothered by any noise but ymmv.

    Also, at least on RL, the shower has rails and a built-in seat that take up a lot of the shower space, even with the seat folded up. It also had a shower curtain instead of a door so water gets everywhere no matter how careful you are, and the curtain looked ok but smelled mildewy. There were no other rails or adaptations in the cabin, just the shower.

    So if you don’t actually need/want a shower seat, I’d probably ask to change cabins if you’re not on-board yet.
