This is an accessible cabin. This means it is specifically designed for sailors with disabilities including wheelchair users. It is larger than a standard cabin and has a number of features to aid accessibility. These include:
Entrance doorway to bathroom is wider; 33.46 inches (850mm)
Turning circle of 60 inches (1525mm) in bathroom
Grab bars surrounding toilet and shower
Folding shower bench
Rain-head showers with handheld spray shower
If you can safely transfer from your wheelchair and walk around the cabin you might also find cabins designated as ‘ambulatory’ suitable. Ambulatory cabins are positioned directly from the elevators / lifts so a wheelchair can be easily manoeuvred into the cabin. Guests are expected to transfer into the cabin from their wheelchair.
Cabin 12174Z Location
Cabin 12174Z sits in the midship part of the ship on deck 12. Midship means the central area of the ship. Deck 12 is close to the pool deck and The Galley.
The 'Z' in the cabin number means it is on the starboard side of the ship (right of the ship if you're looking straight forward). This can sometimes be important if you're doing a repositioning voyage like a Transatlantic crossing as it will determine if you will have the sunshine or not.
Often chosen by Sailors, The Sea Terrace offers an enticing blend of comfort and aesthetics. Like the other Sea Terraces, this cabin also features adjustable mood-based lighting, and a flexible wardrobe and storage space, providing a relaxed setting for guests. The key feature of this cabin is its expansive sea view from the terrace, making it an ideal choice for those who wish to fully immerse themselves in the maritime environment.
