The ’A’ in the cabin number means it is on the port side of the ship (left of the ship if you’re looking straight forward). This can sometimes be important if you’re doing a repositioning voyage like a Transatlantic crossing as it will determine if you will have the sunshine or not.

About Cabin Category ‘Limited View Sea Terrace’

Located near the lower deck activities, the Limited View Sea Terrace provides a good balance of price and balcony space. While the cabin will typically have a partially obstructed view due to lifeboats or mechanical equipment, its proximity to lower deck activities makes it a practical option for guests who want easy access to onboard entertainment. This cabin has all the same modern features as a standard Sea Terrace.

  1. Shannon says:

This room on Scarlet Lady should be listed as a completely obstructed view. The life boat completely blocks the view. There is also an intermittent banging noise that sounds like something is hitting the window, but nothing physically can be found that is making the noise.

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Do you have a picture you can share with us at all Shannon?

  2. Crystal says:

I sailed the Valiant Lady and was assigned 8066A and the engine can be heard at least 3 times an hour. Loud booms and shaking – I had to have my room changed because of the sound and shaking. I recorded the sound and video
    BEWARE of this room

  3. Joe Ross says:

Cabin 8066A should not be listed as a limited sea view with a partially obstructed view. The lifeboat completely blocks all view of the sea. It is directly in site of the cabin.

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Virgin classifies this cabin as having limited sea view, not us. It would be great if you could send us a picture on Facebook or Instagram to help future sailors.
