Festival Style Performances

Taking a cue from festival-style performances, Virgin Voyages invites a rotation of comedians, magicians, and specialty artists across the entire fleet. Through comedy, music, or audience participation, sailors will experience something different during every Festival Stage act.

A Variety of Acts

From the jokes of the comedians to the mind-bending tricks of the magicians, and the jaw-dropping skills of the specialty artists, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Festival Stage acts typically rotate on a roughly two week schedule so even if you are doing a back to back cruise theres a chance you’ll get someone else on your second voyage.

Festival Stage Example Acts

Some example acts that have been under the Festival Stage banner:

Ben Price – A magician, mentalist, and sideshow entertainer with a unique comedy style that creates a mind-blowingly astonishing experience that you won’t forget.

Ray Bradshaw – Ray was the first comedian to ever win a Scottish Culture Award. Ray is a CODA (like in the Oscar winning film) and grew up with deaf parents. All of his shows are performed in both BSL and English.

Abandoman – Using his trademark blend of audience interaction and razor-sharp improvisation, Abandoman will take you on a magical journey of hit songs through freestyle rap.

Tape Face – An “America’s Got Talent” finalist who does an entire comedy routine with his mouth taped shut.

Overview

As you can see you can see everything and anything with the types of acts Virgin Voyages brings on for “Festival Stage”. The talent on display is often some of the best around the world making sure that each voyage has something fresh to see alongside fan favorites from the ship itself. Depending on the act and venue availability some Festival Stage acts may be in The Manor so do arrive early !

Question: Will TapeFace be on the Sept 29 2024 sailing from the UK to Barcelona? Would love to see him in realtime!! Loved him on AGT.

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Likely not I don’t think TapeFace has been on in some time but best to keep track of the event line up about a week out

  2. Judy Bader says:

What time do the shows start at? Are they still first come first serve?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Hi Judy, Headline shows typically have 2 showings a night so early (7ish) and late (10ish). This show would be first come first serve.

  3. Janine says:

So if on a 5 night cruise there is entertainment advertised simply as “Festival Stage – First Come, First Serve!” and it is on nearly every day and sometimes twice a day, is it likely to be the same performer every time? Or are they likely to have a variety or performers over the 5 days?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

It’s likely to be a few performers some repeating. Closer to the time they should announce the names.

    2. Janine says:

      Great, thank you.
