Out of Time is a new time traveling comedy musical created exclusively for Brilliant Lady. The show is a collaboration between Virgin Voyages and No Ceilings, the team behind Lola’s Library.

The story follows Dr. Victoria Vortex after her time machine malfunctions. The mishap sends her on an unpredictable journey through history. Audiences visit ancient civilizations, the 1920s, and more. Each stop features music, humor, and lively performances.

Performances in The Red Room

Out of Time premiered with Brilliant Lady’s debut and is staged in The Red Room on Deck 6. The show is presented several times during each voyage, so there are plenty of chances to see it.

The fast moving storyline mixes songs, dance, and comedy as the cast rushes to repair the broken machine. Along the way, characters like Dr. Maverick Tempus (also known as Rick), T.I.M the Robot, acrobatic cavemen, and 1920s flappers keep the action moving.

A Journey Through Eras

Each scene highlights the music and style of a different decade. Quick humor and references are woven through. The format blends comedy, live music, and time travel. It balances variety with lighthearted storytelling.

    Out of Time is probably the weakest show on Virgin Voyages now. It is a very cheesy typical music review, it lacks anything special or unique compared to what VV commissioned 5+ years ago. The performers in Out of Time are talented, but the plot is poor and the fact the time travel device is a microwave on a trolley is ludicrous.

    Shows like Unititled DanceShowPartyThing, Ships in the Night, Duel Reality & Another Rose make you think and felt like the sort of thing you would want to go watch on land. Whereas Out of Time unfortuantly just didn’t work for me.

      So agree saw it on the Brilliant Lady Tour as you say the cast can certainly sing & dance. When it finished I said to my Hubby that has got to be the most ‘cruise shippy’ show Ive ever seen on Virgin . Apart from the adult language it could be on Royal Caribbean !!! Very cheesy &not at all edgy.
