The Net
The Net on Virgin Voyages: What To Know
The Net is a rope platform at the very back of Deck 16 that extends out from the stern of the ship. It sits in The Athletic Club area and gives open views down toward The Dock below. It is simple, but it is one of those spots many sailor end up talking about after their voyage.
Location and What It Is Like
You will find The Net at the aft of Deck 16 near The Athletic Club Bar. The surface is rope netting rather than solid deck, so you can see straight through to the decks below while also looking out at the ship’s wake. It feels unusual the first time you step onto it, but it is secure and designed for guests to use.
Most people stop here briefly for a look or a photo rather than staying long. It is a good place for a different angle of the ship and the ocean behind you.

Practical Tips
The Net can close during bad weather or when the area is not supervised, so if it is unavailable just check again later. Because it sits over open air, wind can come up from below, so keep that in mind if you are wearing loose clothing. Flat shoes are also a better choice as the surface is netting.
Overview
The Net is a quick stop but worth trying once. It offers a different perspective from the back of the ship, and it is one of the easiest places onboard to grab a memorable photo if you can brave it!
