Virgin Trials Pre-Booking for Spa Treatments Fleet Wide
Virgin Voyages is trialing pre-bookable spa treatments on select voyages, allowing sailors to secure massages and select services through the app before sailing.
Virgin Voyages is testing a new pre-booking system for spa treatments, giving sailors the opportunity to secure select services ahead of their voyage. This trial is currently exclusive to select voyages (read below) and reflects Virgin’s cautious approach to avoiding the booking frenzy seen with restaurant reservations.
What Treatments Are Available to Pre-Book?
The pre-booking system, accessible via the Virgin Voyages app, offers most massage treatments from the Redemption Spa menu, couples massages are not available for booking. However, couples massages, most nail services at The Tune Up and Thermal Suite passes are not included in the trial. While limited in scope, this is a notable expansion of Virgin Voyages’ pre-bookable options, which until now only included dining reservations and shore excursions.
Redemption Spa
Located on Deck 5, Redemption Spa is Virgin Voyages’ signature thermal suite and wellness venue. It’s designed as a “zen den” where sailors can unwind and rejuvenate. With the new pre-booking system, sailors can ensure their relaxation starts seamlessly by skipping the rush to reserve appointments on embarkation day.
Trial Availability
Pre-booking for spa treatments is now open for the following voyages:
Scarlet Lady
- February 22 – July 6, 2025: Exclusively for RockStar Sailors.
- February 22 – June 26, 2025: Open to all Sailors.
Valiant Lady
- January 31, 2025: Beta testing phase with very limited appointment availability.
- February 5 – June 6, 2025: Exclusively for RockStar Sailors.
- February 5 – May 23, 2025: Open to all Sailors.
Resilient Lady
- March 1 – July 3, 2025: Exclusively for RockStar Sailors.
- March 1 – June 18, 2025: Open to all Sailors.
This staggered rollout allows Virgin Voyages to refine the system and ensure it delivers a smooth booking experience for Sailors.
Eligible sailors can make spa reservations at the up to 135 days before sail depending on your status.
How the System Works
The process mirrors the restaurant reservation system, allowing sailors to browse and book available treatments directly through the Virgin Voyages app. By securing appointments before setting sail, sailors can focus entirely on their vacation without the hassle of day-one reservations.
