Thinking about upgrading your cabin on Virgin Voyages? In this video, David from VV Insider breaks down how cabin upgrades really work — including the difference between booking a Lock It In rate for a chance at a better cabin assignment, and using Virgin Voyages’ upgrade bidding system to actively make an offer for a higher category. It’s a practical guide to the trade-offs, timing, and common mistakes sailors should understand before they roll the dice.

Hello David. I’m in a sea view room on level 5. Brilliant Lady for August. If I upgrade to Sea Terrace . Is the bidding price a one time total charge for the entire trip?

It’s an additional one time charge for the entire cabin and trip. We have a guide here https://vvinsider.com/guides-and-faqs/guide/upgrading-your-cabin/

Ok so booked a guarantee locked in rate oceanview over a year ago for Scarlets April transatlantic & gave been allocated directly under dance floor of the Manor … unlucky 🤷‍♀️you takes a chane so contacted Vv who were my first mate offering to pay for cabin (still oceanview) but diff loc was told £440 which reluctantly we would pay but then the ‘system’ wouldnt let guest svs do it so stuck with one of worst cabins on ship. Have puts bids in for terraces & hopeful that that will work . It has put me off booking early (cheaper now) & ever doing lock it in rates . Not complaining knew it could of happened just disappointed.
