Virgin Voyages’ initiative to simplify itinerary names, which began last October in the Caribbean, is continuing across multiple regions including Alaska and Europe. The original announcement outlined the move away from the more iconic themed names in favor of clearer, region focused titles. The goal remains the same: make voyage titles clearer and easier to search by focusing on regions and key ports rather than playful or themed names.

The itineraries, ports, and onboard experiences are not changing. Only the names are being refreshed.

Caribbean Updates

We are now seeing additional Caribbean sailings move away from their iconic names and toward location focused titles.

Based on this direction, it would not be surprising to see other themed names such as Dominican Daze transition to a more port focused format. However, at the time of writing, Dominican Daze remains on sale under its current name.

Alaska 2026/2027 Name Changes

Virgin Voyages has also published a formal itinerary name change schedule for Alaska sailings covering 2025 through 2027. As in the Caribbean, the emphasis is now on geography and embarkation points rather than descriptive themed titles.

Europe Itinerary Name Changes

A similar refresh is underway across Europe, replacing themed names such as Greek Island Glow & Moroccan Marvels with clearer region and route based titles.

Rolling Out Slowly

For sailors this is purely a naming refresh rolling out over the next few months. The routes, inclusions, and ports remain unchanged. Virgin Voyages appears to be standardizing itinerary titles across all regions, and more updates are expected over the coming months.
