Virgin Voyages Previews 2026 Alaska Shore Things and Experiences
Virgin Voyages previews its 2026 Alaska season, featuring 250 shore things, 75 exclusive experiences, scenic glacier cruising, and authentic coastal ports.
Virgin Voyages has revealed more about its debut Alaska season, set to begin in May 2026 with Brilliant Lady. The cruise line is promising a fresh take on exploring the region, offering deeper routes, scenic glacier viewing, and more than 250 shore things — including 75 exclusive to Virgin Voyages.
Exploring Ports Less Traveled
Instead of following the usual routes, Virgin Voyages will call at authentic Alaskan and Canadian ports that highlight local culture and natural beauty.
- Prince Rupert, BC – A small Canadian port known for its wildlife, First Nations heritage, and access to the Great Bear Rainforest. Most lines sail past, but this stop lets guests experience local life and small-town charm.
- Sitka, Alaska – A mix of Tlingit and Russian-American history, with totem poles, sea otters, and puffins. This stop offers a quieter and more cultural perspective of Alaska’s coast.
- Icy Strait Point, Alaska – An Indigenous-owned destination that blends culture with adventure. Whale watching, brown bear sightings, and the world’s largest ZipRider make this a highlight of the season.
- Haines, Alaska (select sailings) – Known as the Bald Eagle Capital of the World, Haines offers river rafting, art galleries, and fewer crowds than nearby Skagway.

Our Glacier Days
Virgin Voyages has built scenic glacier cruising into every Alaska itinerary, offering extended time in two of the state’s most spectacular locations.
- Tracy Arm Fjord – A 30-mile fjord surrounded by sheer granite cliffs and waterfalls leading to the twin Sawyer Glaciers. It’s one of the most dramatic glacier routes in Alaska.
- Hubbard Glacier – The largest tidewater glacier in North America, stretching more than six miles wide. On longer sailings, Brilliant Lady will cruise close enough to see the glacier’s calving events up close.
