Virgin Voyages Wins Travel + Leisure’s Best Mega-Ship Award for Fourth Year
Virgin Voyages has been named Travel + Leisure’s #1 Mega-Ship Ocean Cruise Line for the fourth consecutive year, an industry first.

Virgin Voyages has once again been named the #1 Mega-Ship Ocean Cruise Line in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards, extending its winning streak to four consecutive years.
The achievement marks an industry first, with Virgin Voyages becoming the only cruise line to earn the top spot in the Mega-Ship Ocean Cruise Line category four years in a row since the award was introduced.
Fourth Consecutive Win
The annual Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards are determined by reader votes and recognize the best travel experiences across hotels, airlines, destinations, and cruise lines.
Virgin Voyages has now retained the title for a fourth consecutive year, with readers once again recognizing its adults-only approach to cruising, which combines elevated dining, modern accommodations, unique entertainment, and attentive service.

An Industry First
Since entering the cruise industry in 2021, Virgin Voyages has expanded its fleet, launched new destinations, and regularly introduced enhancements to the onboard experience. This latest recognition reflects the cruise line’s continued momentum and strong reputation among travelers.
The four-year winning streak is a significant milestone for the brand and highlights the consistency of the experience delivered across its fleet.
Looking Ahead
The award comes during another milestone year for Virgin Voyages. In May, the cruise line launched its first-ever Alaska season aboard Brilliant Lady, bringing a new collection of voyages from Seattle alongside destination-inspired entertainment, dining, and shore experiences.
Virgin Voyages has also continued investing in its existing fleet. Earlier this year, Valiant Lady completed her first major dry dock, debuting new venues, refreshed public spaces, updated entertainment, and enhancements across the ship before returning to service for the European summer season.
More new itineraries, destinations, and onboard enhancements are expected to be announced over the coming months as Virgin Voyages continues to expand its global deployment.
Responding to the announcement, Virgin Voyages said:
“We’re not calling this a finish line. We’re calling it a responsibility and we’re just getting started.”
With continued investment in its ships, expanding itineraries, and a focus on evolving the onboard experience, Virgin Voyages shows no signs of slowing down. We’ll continue covering the latest Virgin Voyages news, ship updates, and itinerary announcements here on VV Insider.
