Virgin Voyages Reveals More 2028 Deployment Plans Including Valiant Lady
Updated Virgin Voyages deployment plans provide more information on Valiant Lady’s 2028 European season, plus fresh details for Scarlet Lady and Brilliant Lady.
Virgin Voyages has outlined another phase of future ship deployments, providing a clearer picture of where several Lady Ships are expected to sail during summer 2028.
The latest deployment guide confirms plans for Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady, and Brilliant Lady across the Caribbean, Mediterranean, wider Europe and Alaska. While some itineraries are already on sale, others are scheduled to be released later this year.
Summer 2028 Deployment Overview
The information shared with First Mates is not a complete sailing-by-sailing release. Instead, it provides an overview of where each ship is expected to operate and when those deployments are currently scheduled to open for booking.

Resilient Lady Returns to the Caribbean
Resilient Lady is already on sale for a season of Short Caribbean voyages running from May through October 2028.
The deployment consists primarily of 4 and 5 night sailings, giving sailors another option for shorter Caribbean getaways from South Florida. Ports currently shown include destinations such as Key West, Puerto Plata and The Beach Club at Bimini.

Scarlet Lady Returns to the Mediterranean
Scarlet Lady will spend the majority of summer 2028 in the Mediterranean, with bookings expected to open on July 23rd, 2026.
The season begins with a 12 night transatlantic crossing from San Juan to Barcelona before transitioning into a series of Mediterranean voyages ranging from 7 to 11 nights.
Current deployment information points to a mix of Eastern Mediterranean itineraries from Athens, alongside Barcelona to Athens and Rome to Athens voyages in both directions.
This continues Virgin Voyages’ recent focus on longer Mediterranean sailings, offering a wider range of embarkation options across Southern Europe.

Valiant Lady’s 2028 Plans Start to Take Shape
Valiant Lady will return to Europe in spring 2028, with an initial Mediterranean deployment now outlined ahead of bookings opening on July 23rd, 2026.
The season begins with a 14 night transatlantic voyage from Miami to Barcelona, followed by a series of Western Mediterranean sailings from Barcelona before repositioning east towards Greece.
Unlike previous deployment guides, Virgin Voyages has already provided specific itinerary information for this first phase of Valiant Lady’s European season.

Where Does Valiant Lady Go Next?
What remains unclear is where Valiant Lady heads after completing her Athens to Barcelona voyage on June 25th, 2028.
Virgin Voyages has separately listed a second deployment phase for Valiant Lady under “Coming Soon,” but no itineraries, sailing dates or booking window have yet been announced.
That additional deployment is likely to generate significant interest, particularly among sailors hoping to see a return of Northern Europe itineraries. Previous seasons have included voyages to destinations such as Iceland, Norway and Portsmouth, although no such routes have been confirmed for 2028.
For now, Virgin Voyages has only confirmed that more details will be released at a later date.
Brilliant Lady Expected Back in Alaska
Brilliant Lady is listed for another Alaska season from May through September 2028, with bookings expected to open in November 2026.
Virgin Voyages has already positioned Brilliant Lady as its dedicated Alaska ship, with the brand’s first Alaska seasons operating from Seattle beginning in 2026.
While specific 2028 itineraries have not yet been released, the deployment guide suggests Alaska will remain a regular part of Virgin Voyages’ seasonal lineup.
For sailors considering Alaska in future years, this provides an early indication that the region is likely to remain a long term fixture within the fleet’s deployment strategy.
More 2028 Itinerary Updates Still to Come
While the latest deployment guide answers several questions about where Virgin Voyages plans to position its ships during summer 2028, there are still a number of gaps to fill.
Full Mediterranean itineraries for Scarlet Lady have yet to be released, Brilliant Lady’s Alaska sailings remain unpublished, and Valiant Lady’s wider Europe deployment continues to be one of the biggest unanswered questions.
