Bad Points About Cabin 14078A

  • con Close to noisy operations

This cabin can be noisy because it is close to parts of the ship that can make a lot of operational noise which could include restaurant kitchens, the engine room or where the anchor chain is kept depending on where you are located on the ship.
  • con Walk to elevators / lifts

This cabin is farther from the elevators and lifts than others, so it might take a bit longer to reach the onboard venues. However, Virgin Voyages ships are not as large as some other cruise ships.

The ’A’ in the cabin number means it is on the port side of the ship (left of the ship if you’re looking straight forward). This can sometimes be important if you’re doing a repositioning voyage like a Transatlantic crossing as it will determine if you will have the sunshine or not.

We have just had a fabulous cruise round the Greek Islands… we were in this cabin and it was very noisy at night with things being dropped regularly and dragging large items and one night we thought they were hammering or drilling the floor… we requested to move was offered deck 9 was going to say yes until a lady said her husband was very unwell and on deck 9 so stayed here!! The dreaded virus had been a big issue on the previous weeks cruise and we didn’t want to take any chances!!

  2. Brett Archer says:

This cabin is directly under the Galley kitchen/prep area with almost constant noise, such as large items being dropped and dragged across the floor and industrial mixing machines in use throughout the night. After a sleepless night we were fortunate that Sailor Services were able to move us to a different cabin for the rest of our voyage.
