New Itineraries Due End of February

The highly anticipated Winter 2026/2027 itineraries are now expected to be released by the end of February. Virgin Voyages had initially planned to announce them by the end of last year, but delays have pushed this back as they focus on finalizing the details. Hopefully, we’ll have more information on these itineraries soon.

New In-Person Bar Tab Purchase Option in Terminal V and San Juan

Lately, many sailors have observed that it’s now possible to purchase a Bar Tab in person at the Terminal before sailing, specifically in Terminal V and San Juan. Traditionally, the Bar Tab was only available for purchase through the app ahead of time, and the in-person deal mirrors the pre-sailing offer. Note that you cannot buy a Bar Tab once on board. To help plan, be sure to use our exclusive Bar Tab Calculator, which provides an estimate based on averages. It’s still unclear whether this option will be available for European sailings this Summer, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead when possible.

New Safety Video On Board

Virgin Voyages has updated the “Safety Rocks” video with a new animated style that’s easier to understand, though it features less elements of the Virgin brand. This video must be viewed before your muster drill, either on the in-room TV or your cabin tablet. Check out the new video below:

Virgin Voyages Partners with Reuben’s Retreat for 2025 Fundraising Efforts

Virgin Voyages’ UK sales team has partnered with Reuben’s Retreat for 2025, committing to fundraising efforts supporting families affected by child loss or medical complexities. Initiatives include a skydive with industry colleagues and sponsoring the annual ReuBall in July, themed “a splash of red.” The funds will help complete the transformation of an old hospital in Glossop into a retreat, including accessible apartments. SJ Walker, Virgin Voyages UK sales director, expressed excitement about the partnership, while charity founder Nicola Graham shared her gratitude.

Pre-Purchase Premium Wi-Fi Package Now Available

After last week’s controversial Wi-Fi updates and the introduction of the Work from Sea tier, Virgin Voyages has launched a new package available for pre-purchase. This package offers Premium Wi-Fi with two devices (instead of the usual one) at the same price as on board at $30 per day. You can now add this package through the Virgin Voyages app up to 48 hours before sailing. A quick reminder: some sailors, like those with Deep Blue Extras, already receive two devices as part of their benefits.

Thanks fo4 supplying all the info once again. I wish they would offer a 100USD bar tab option to add to the DBE. I find the 200 USD one on top of the DBE is to much for me as a solotraveller.

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Yeah they need to re introduce the lower Bar Tab

  2. Barbara Klein says:

The new safety video is hands down more informative than that trying to cool rock video safety video. The old one was trying to hard to be hip. This animation at least covers more ground.

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Agreed I wonder if they got dinged for people not knowing the rules

I did like the first one. Have to agree that this one is more informative.
