Lola’s Library is Virgin Voyages’ immersive 75-minute cabaret on Resilient Lady. Hosted by Lola alongside Mary and Dewey, the show combines singing, dancing, comedy and acrobatics across three chapters inside The Manor.

Virgin Voyages has now introduced reservations for the popular show, moving it away from the first come, first served system used in recent years which created lengthy queues.

Lola’s Library Now Requires Reservations

Sailors can now reserve Lola’s Library through the Event Line-Up section of the Virgin Voyages app.

Reservations open at 5:00 PM on embarkation day, matching the system already being used for Murder in the Manor on Brilliant Lady.

Opening reservations at 5:00 PM gives sailors a fairer opportunity to book. Otherwise, those with earlier boarding times would have a significant advantage.

Virgin Voyages is only releasing reservations for the number of seats available inside The Manor. Sailors without a reservation can still try standby, but any additional capacity is standing room only.

The Manor & Capacity Issues

Lola’s Library has become increasingly popular like other shows, while The Manor has limited seating. Long lines have regularly formed before performances, and sailors could spend time waiting without knowing whether they would get inside. On Valiant Lady during dry dock Virgin Voyages opened up The Manor dance floor to create more seating which will presumably roll out to more ships such as Resilient Lady next year.

The reservation system should help reduce those lines and give sailors more certainty when planning their evening.

It is a far cry from the original Lola’s Library that debuted with Resilient Lady in May 2023. The experience originally ran for around three hours across several chapters, and sailors could come and go throughout the evening with ease.

The current version runs for around 75 minutes as one complete performance, so capacity for each showing has become more important.

Similar to Murder in the Manor

The change follows the reservation system introduced for Murder in the Manor on Brilliant Lady earlier this year in March.

Both shows take place inside The Manor and have faced similar demand issues. Virgin Voyages now appears to be using reservations to better manage capacity for these popular performances.
