Virgin Red Members Invited to Brilliant Lady Launch Party in Portsmouth
Virgin Red members can explore Brilliant Lady in Portsmouth on 20 August with dinner, entertainment and Scarlet Night included.
Virgin Red and Virgin Voyages are inviting members to Portsmouth this August for an exclusive preview of Brilliant Lady before she begins her sailings from New York.
On Wednesday 20 August, Brilliant Lady will be docked at Portsmouth International Port for a one-day-only launch party. The event runs from 2:00 PM until 11:00 PM and gives Virgin Red members the chance to explore the ship without booking a cruise.
Tickets are available for 7,500 Virgin Points per person. Members can redeem for up to six guests at a time, with no limit on how many tickets can be booked.
A Chance to See Virgin Voyages First-Hand
The event is aimed at Virgin Voyages fans, as well as non-cruisers, the cruise-curious, and anyone interested in seeing what the Virgin experience is all about. Whether you’ve sailed before or simply want to explore the ship while she’s in the UK, this is a rare chance to step aboard without a long-haul trip or passport commitment.
Guests will be able to explore much of the ship and take part in an evening of food, entertainment and activities.
What’s included:
- A live performance of Red Hot at 4:00 PM, a high-energy musical revue created for Brilliant Lady’s debut season
- A pre-booked dinner at around 6:00 PM in one of Brilliant Lady’s restaurants, including Rojo by Razzle Dazzle, a Spanish-inspired concept only found on this ship or a performance of the new dinner show ‘Up with a Twist‘
- The full Scarlet Night experience starting at 8:00 PM, with live music, immersive performers and pop-up entertainment across the ship
While cabins, spa areas, and retail spaces won’t be accessible, the majority of public areas will be open. Food will also be available from pop-up eateries and casual venues such as the Pizza Place throughout the evening.

Important Info
This is not an overnight event. All guests must disembark by 11:00 PM. A valid passport or UK photocard driving licence is required for boarding. All guests must be aged 18 or over.
After redeeming tickets, members will receive a link to register guest names and select a preferred restaurant. If a restaurant is unavailable, an alternative will be assigned. Step-free gangway access may be limited after 9:30 PM, so guests needing assistance are advised to disembark earlier.
Drinks are included at selected bars during the event, and guests are asked to wear their lanyard at all times to access these offerings.
Guests are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes before their dinner reservation and are welcome to explore the ship ahead of time. Parking is available at Portsmouth International Port, and the nearest station is Portsmouth & Southsea, around a 20-minute walk away.
What Happens Next for Brilliant Lady
After the Portsmouth celebration, Brilliant Lady will depart on 21 August for her private Friends & Family Transatlantic sailing to New York. Her debut season begins with a MerMaiden voyage from Manhattan on 5 September.
