With a live band setting the mood, world-class vocalists and dancers take the stage to reimagine vintage classics and summer soundtrack favorites with a contemporary twist. Up with a Twist in Detail

On arrival at the Manor, you’re welcomed with a vodka-based cocktail before being introduced to the cast of Lady Valentina’s Emporium of Excess. The performers mingle with guests through playful interactions and close-up magic, giving a glimpse of the personalities who will later compete for the spotlight.

The story follows Lady Valentina as she prepares to step down, leaving the cast to vie for the role of successor. Each showcases their talents – from singing and dancing to aerial acts or sword swallowing – with line-ups varying by sailing to keep the experience fresh and unpredictable.

Audience members play a vital role, voting for their favourite act using coloured buttons at their table. The winner is crowned the new manager of the Emporium and closes the evening with a final encore. This creates a unique ending for every show performed with up to 8 total possible options.

Dinner and cocktails are seamlessly interwoven with the show, each course paired with drinks served throughout the night. The result is an immersive mix of theatre, dining, and cabaret, where every guest becomes part of Lady Valentina’s world.

  1. Debbie Abbott says:

Preparing my itinerary for my first virgin cruise. It is very hard when you don’t have days and times of events. Almost impossible to plan ahead. Once on board you schedule then that could mess up other pans depending on what you get. Don’t like that. I’m a planner. You could end up chasing your tail. Hope it goes better than I imagine.

  2. Karla Edwards says:

I can’t wait for this. I’m learning the tricks of the trade now that I’m going on my 2nd VV cruise. I know that you have to book once on the ship but I wish they could at least tell you the day it’s being offered on your sailing. I’m on an 8 day cruise and want to have dinner at my fave restaurant, The Wake, twice 😋. Don’t want to mess with those booked times. Since I’m a solo cruiser, it may not be too hard to rearrange though.

    1. Rob Sammons says:

It should ideally show up when dining opens but Brilliant scheduling is running behind

  3. Dave says:

Looks great, Rob. Do you recall the run time?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

2 hours is the entire experience, 1.5 hours for the show give or take

      1. Nico says:

Hi… I was wondering if the show is performed only once or twice at night? 🙏🏽

        1. Rob Sammons says:

It’ll be performed a few times throughout the voyage, occasionally they’ll have a double show night, the event line-up will show the full schedule closer to your voyage

  4. Benjamin says:

Does anybody know if Tier 1 will be like ‘Another Rose’ where you are on the dance floor and have to move around the show. Or if it’s just a front row of seats at the edge of the stage and you can stay in your seat throughout?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

You stay seated through the show

  5. Jean Ryan says:

As a gluten-free traveler, I’m disappointed that the only way to get an entire menu gluten-free is to eat vegan as well.

Most gluten-free folk aren’t vegan, and really want the extra protein from animal products. I’d be happy with the swordfish, but the rest of that menu is poison to my body.

Guess I can write off this experience.

    1. Bobo says:

My wife who has celiac would have the same issue – I wonder if it would be possible to talk to sailor services ahead of time to be able to have the best of both worlds – If not it doesn’t sound like it would be worth the additional cost to see the show.

      1. Rob Sammons says:

Yes you should speak to them before then they can pre prepare dishes 🙂

  6. Tracey L. Porreca says:

I’m really looking forward to this. Any idea how they will handle seating for those in wheelchairs?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

In Tier 2 there are dedicated spots for wheelchair users, best to reach out to Sailor Services 🙂

  7. Emily says:

Sounds like a great experience! Do you know if they can make any modifications to the cocktails with advance notice? I’m diabetic and all those sugary drinks will spike my blood sugar. On land I just order the co trails without or with less of the fruit juices and syrups. I’m guessing the answer is “no,” for all the alcohol-included events on board. They are probably all pre-mixed I. Batches, right?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

They should be able to provide alternative drinks or standard drinks from the bar, your server will ask about any needs, it is very sugary!

      1. Cindy Terwilliger says:

How many drinks are included in total?

  8. Shari says:

Do they offer mocktails in place of the alcoholic beverages?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Yes they do with a similiar flavor, added this to article 🙂

  9. Janine Dean says:

My understanding is the dinner show cannot be pre-booked, when dining reservations become available. Any idea which day or days Up With A Twist will be offered?

    1. Robin Pullins says:

You will be able to book once onboard. It will show in the app under browse the event line up
