Virgin Voyages’ long-awaited Sun Society pool party officially launches with today’s voyage on October 19, 2026, aboard Valiant Lady, bringing a new daytime entertainment experience to the ship’s Caribbean sailings.
First teased as part of Valiant Lady’s dry dock refresh earlier this year, Sun Society has appeared in promotional materials for several months. However, Virgin Voyages has only recently revealed what sailors can expect from the event.
The new 90-minute experience takes place at The Aquatic Club on select sea days, featuring live entertainment, music, and interactive performances inspired by mid-century Hollywood pool parties.
What Is Sun Society?
Sun Society transforms The Aquatic Club on Deck 15 into a retro-inspired poolside gathering, with pastel umbrellas, oversized flamingos, and a theme influenced by classic California resort culture.
The event unfolds across five stages, beginning with relaxed soul and bossa nova music before gradually building into a more energetic poolside celebration.
Throughout the 90 minutes, sailors can expect live singing, synchronized choreography, vintage Polaroid photography, and appearances from several characters.
One of the highlights includes a live performance of “Sway” by the event’s hostess, while the finale features bubbles drifting across the pool deck as the music reaches its peak.
Unlike traditional onboard shows, the entertainment is designed to blend into the afternoon rather than follow a series of formal announcements.
Sailors Encouraged to Dress for the Occasion
Virgin Voyages is also encouraging sailors to embrace the Sun Society theme with retro-inspired poolside outfits. Suggested clothing includes high-waisted swimwear, linen shirts, oversized sunglasses, headscarves, and floppy sun hats.
The recommended color palette includes buttercream, blush pink, mint green, and soft coral. There is no mandatory dress code as usual with Virgin Voyages events.
A Long-Awaited Addition to Valiant Lady
Sun Society was among the experiences teased following Valiant Lady’s 2026 dry dock refresh, but an official launch date and full details were not confirmed until October.
The event also marks a return to dedicated daytime poolside entertainment for Virgin Voyages following the short-lived Odyssey experience in 2021.
For now, Sun Society is exclusive to Valiant Lady and will take place on select sea days during its Caribbean season, weather permitting.
