Norwegian Fjords and Arctic Circle Highlights

The Northern Europe season gives Virgin Voyages its first opportunity to visit several ports across Norway.

The seven-night Norwegian Fjords voyage visits Molde, Nordfjordeid, Flåm and Bergen. Meanwhile, the 11-night Arctic Circle voyage travels much farther north.

That sailing includes Tromsø and Honningsvåg, along with two Arctic Circle crossings. It also visits Trondheim, Hellesylt and Olden before returning to Amsterdam.

These itineraries bring Northern Europe back to Virgin Voyages after the region was absent from the cruise line’s 2027 deployment.

We would love to see Brilliant Lady depart Buenos Ares and head south through the straits of Magellan and port at Santiago Chile with eventually Panama crossing to Miami. We asked Michelle while on the Scarlett eclipse cruise and she said wait and see.

  2. Darren Cooper says:

Hi, I don’t see any loot when trial booking a central sea terrace for scandi overnight. Should I?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

It’ll appear after you place the booking hold, let us know if you have any issues: https://vvinsider.com/voyage-enquiry/

  3. Laura Bauman says:

General sailing release for booking observation/ question.
Why are VV using USA time to release European sailings? Makes it way harder for the Europeans to get the cabin(grade) they would prefer.

    1. Brandon says:

It’s releasing at the same time everywhere. Virgin is primarily a US owned & based company, with the majority of their costumers being US citizens. So they use the time zone their HQ is in for when they view the calendar as progressing to the next day for everything, as that is much less confusing than it being different for every sailing.

  4. Nick says:

Is ‘now on sale’ a mistake? I can’t see how to book these…

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Register your interest with our links and we will be in touch when they go on sale later today.

      1. Dave says:

…but to follow up on Nick’s question, can we book them now or do we have to wait until tomorrow?

        1. Rob Sammons says:

12:01am ET. Links will be live above 🙂

  5. Brandon says:

Am I the only one who finds it weird they are planning to do an Artic circle crossing ceremony for one of these, but have completely ignored the other times they cross into the Artic circle?
Essentially every time a cruise ship goes to Akureyri from the eastern side of Iceland, like Virgin did last year and will again a couple times this month, ships cross the Artic circle. Most cruise lines do a ceremony every time. I thought it was unusual Virgin ignored it last summer; and now even more unusual that they are making a big deal of it for 2028, but still ignoring the fact they are also doing it on the current Iceland eclipse cruise.

  6. Mark Jerrom says:

I’m currently on Scarlet Lady and due to disembark on 10th August. If we buy an MNVV whilst on board, we’d miss the 2 year cutoff for the Arctic circle cruise on 14th August 2028 by just a few days 😭…do you think Virgin would allow some wiggle room if we bought it (I’m assuming it would be useable in that voyage). It’s going to be my 60th birthday in 2028 whilst on board, very excited for this cruise 🤞

    1. Rob Sammons says:

We’ve not seen extensions granted recently unfortunately, in same position!

  7. Edwin says:

Uff. Well I’m out. Their coming with good itineraries when I can’t take Vacation. Uff

  8. Michael says:

Is $25k a total for both sailors or $25 each?
Is that still including gratuities and taxes and other charges. I heard rumor the fee structure may have changed since our last voyage in 2025

    1. Rob Sammons says:

For Summer Season Pass that’s total for 2 sailors and includes gratuities.

For other bookings that’s not a rumor the system did change in 2025: https://vvinsider.com/guides-and-faqs/guide/voyagefair-choices/

  9. Claire Gilligan-Murrell says:

RE Summer Season Pass are they skipping 2027?

  10. Laura says:

    Hi Rob,
Do you know how much the sea pass will be for a solo?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Based on previous season passes there is no solo occupancy rate, however you can change out sailor 2 each voyage.

  11. Regina Pacheu says:

Just curious Rob if VV Insider will be offering any Sail Forward Loot if we book the Summer Season Pass through you guys.

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Yes we should be but we won’t know until launch day, register your interest above and we’ll update you once we know 🙂

  12. Russell Everett Darling says:

Great to see VV returning to this part of the world! I was originally booked on Valiant Lady’s “Baltic Wonders & Nordic Nights” cruise, which I would have been sailing on this very week had it not unfortunately been cancelled. I’ve wanted to cruise this region for a long time, but VV is the only way I’ve really wanted to experience it.

  13. Maria Phillips says:

Do you think VV will use the central cruise port in Amsterdam or the one further out in Ijmuiden?
