Virgin Voyages now use VoyageFair Choices, a three-tier fare system for Sea Terrace cabins and below. The options are Base, Essential, and Premium.

Each fare connects price to flexibility and perks. Those who want the lowest price can select a stricter option, while those who want more change rights or extras can select a higher tier. Think of it like an airline system where you may get a rate with a basic handbag only option.

How It Works

All bookings made on or after October 7, 2025, follow the VoyageFair Choices system.

VoyageFair Choices Overview

Overview of VoyageFair Choices
Fare Type Best For Flexibility Extras
Base Travelers who want the lowest price and are set on dates No changes, non-refundable Basic WiFi and reduced dining window
Essential

Most travelers wanting a standard experience with some flexibility

Standard date and cabin change policies apply Classic WiFi and standard dining window
Premium Travelers who want maximum flexibility and added perks Full change rights under standard policies Earlier dining, faster WiFi, Bar Tab credit, priority support

Lock-it-in rates more closely follow Base fares, you can’t upgrade to Essential or Premium on this fare type, view our full guide here.

RockStar and Mega RockStar bookings remain outside of this structure. They continue with their own full flexibility and perks, along with the earliest dining reservations.

Legacy Bookings

Reservations made before October 7th 2025 are considered Legacy Fares. These keep the rules and flexibility offered at the time of booking. However, dining reservations for these legacy bookings now open 60 days (120 days for Rockstar) before sailing, bringing them closer in line with Premium fares for no additional cost.

Legacy fares remain bundled, with the same level of flexibilities and gratuities as before, this system is only for new bookings.

Key Information

  • All new bookings now use the three-tier VoyageFair Choices system.
  • Base is lowest cost with no changes, Essential is the standard choice, and Premium adds flexibility and perks.
  • RockStar and Mega RockStar remain separate with their own rules and perks.
  • Legacy fares booked before October 7, 2025, continue under their original terms, but with an upgraded 60-day dining window.
  • All tiers benefit from the same standard inclusions as Virgin Voyages are famed for.
