What Should I Pack For Themed Nights/Events?

One of the great appeals of a Virgin Voyages vacation is how laid back it is. There is no strict dress code anywhere on board, you can come as you are. There are, however, great opportunities to show your creative flare during some of the ship’s special events and highlight of the voyage Scarlet Night. From glittering, gilded dresses to red tartan dinner suits, we breakdown what you might wear to each event on board.

Important to note: Although dress code rules are fairly relaxed, the Virgin Voyages’ Sailor Conduct Policy prohibits any nudity or indecent exposure (for example, wearing jockstraps in public) including at the ship’s pools and during pool parties.

Are There Any Formal Nights on Virgin Voyages?

There is no formal night on Virgin Voyages cruise ships. This applies to all ships in the fleet, Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady and Brilliant Lady. Each restaurant has an upmarket feel but you are equally welcome in t-shirt and shorts as you are in a glittering ball gown – Virgin Voyages is set apart by its relaxed attitude to dress codes and everyone is made to feel welcome no matter what they choose to wear.

Some of the themed nights are held across the entire fleet of ships; Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady and Brilliant Lady. As ever, all outfit suggestions are optional but it’s great to get into the spirit of things where you can.
