Virgin Voyages offers an exclusive experience for its sailors with Shake for Champagne. This convenient on-demand bottle service is available through the Virgin Voyages App. This guide walks you through the process of using and purchasing your Shake, ensuring you can enjoy a moment of luxury whenever the mood strikes.

Shake for Champagne: How It Works

When the desire for a toast strikes, simply open the Virgin Voyages App and give your phone a shake. This action reveals a secret button that which when tapped, initiates the delivery of a bottle of Möet Chandon Impérial® to your location on board. Using state-of-the-art technology, the crew can pinpoint your location within meter accuracy via Bluetooth beacons integrated into the ship and your phone.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open the Virgin Voyages App: Access the app on your smartphone. (Make sure you have Bluetooth enabled on your iPhone or Android device)
  2. Give Your Phone a Shake: Shake your phone to reveal the secret button.
  3. Tap to Request Champagne: Upon tapping the button, you’ll see the price and an option to request your champagne.
  4. Wait for Delivery: Within approximately 30 minutes, a crew member will arrive with your bottle of Möet Chandon Impérial® and up to 4 glasses. Plastic glasses are provided near the pool, while glassware is used elsewhere on the ship. If you need additional glasses, simply ask.
  5. Enjoy the Moment: Sip and savor your bubbly no matter where you are on the ship.

Availability

You can use your shake anywhere on the ship including your cabin, the pool, any restaurant or even trivia! There are a few select locations where it would not be safe to deliver your champagne. The Redemption Spa can not allow bottles in for safety reason and if invited then you can’t shake below deck.

Wait Times

Typically your Shake will be delivered within 30 minutes or less (you can view this time in the orders section of the app). However sometimes you can expect longer wait times, especially later in the voyage, as many sailors save their Shake for Champagne for special moments. The general cutoff for delivery is midnight on the last night of the voyage.

Price

The current price for a bottle of Möet Chandon Impérial® is $105, subject to additional taxes or fees in some regions. Before you check out you will be told the total cost within the Virgin Voyages app.

Splash of Romance: Sailors with the Splash of Romance package receive a complimentary Shake for Champagne during their voyage marking a significant value saving. Any charges initially appearing on your account will be removed within 48 hours. Contact Sailor Services on board if the charge persists.

Conclusion

With Shake for Champagne, Virgin Voyages offers a seamless and luxurious way to elevate any moment during your voyage. It can add a special touch to your time on board and is quite an occasion when it does arrive. Whether celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying the journey, indulging in a glass of bubbly has never been easier.
