Persephone Launching Soon on Second Virgin Voyages Ship
Persephone, Virgin Voyages’ acclaimed Greek mythology show, will debut on a second Lady Ship in the coming weeks.
Virgin Voyages has quietly confirmed that “Persephone,” one of the most acclaimed productions in its entertainment line-up, will soon be joining another Lady Ship. The update follows the retirement of UNTITLED DANCESHOWPARTYTHING last week.
Found in Event Line-Up
The timing of the debut is still unclear, but rehearsals have been underway for several weeks and Virgin Voyages’ event line-ups now list “Persephone” for Scarlet Lady’s October 16 and 31 Halloween sailings.
Based on this information, the show is expected to launch in the coming weeks, and almost certainly by the October 16th Transatlantic voyage. VV Insider has corroborated the addition with sailors booked on these sailings who have kindly shared updated schedules showing the production.
A Proven Favorite
“Persephone” first launched on Resilient Lady in May 2023 and quickly became one of the most popular productions in the Virgin Voyages fleet. Created by director Holly-Anne Devlin and Kaleidoscope Immersive, the show reimagines Greek mythology in a bold, theatrical style.
Audiences are surrounded in the Red Room with acrobatics, live singing, and dance performed on stage, up the walls, and through the crowd. Its popularity has made it a standout among Virgin Voyages’ entertainment offerings, often cited by guests as a must-see experience. With Scarlet Lady now confirmed as the second ship to feature the production, “Persephone” is stepping into a wider role within the fleet’s evolving entertainment line-up.
More Entertainment Changes Expected
The arrival of “Persephone” is likely the first of several updates to Scarlet Lady’s entertainment schedule. Virgin Voyages has been steadily refreshing its programming across the fleet, and further changes are expected in the coming weeks. The event line-up also lists Club Caliente (currently exclusive to Valiant Lady) & a new show simply titled “Once Upon a Showgirl” with no other information available.
