In First Mate documentation, it was already confirmed that Resilient Lady would head into dry dock in 2027, and we now know the exact dates. Her final voyage before maintenance will end in Rome on Tuesday, 17 August 2027, with her next scheduled sailing departing from Barcelona on 2 September 2027. The documentation notes that guests joining from September onwards will experience a “newly refreshed Resilient Lady” following her glow-up period.

What is a Dry Dock?

A dry dock is a planned maintenance period, typically scheduled every five years. During this time, the ship is taken out of the water so essential work can be completed. This can include technical inspections, upgrades, and enhancements across public areas, cabins, and other onboard facilities.

For Virgin Voyages, this will likely mean a return to Fincantieri’s Palermo shipyard in Italy — the same facility that hosted Scarlet Lady’s dry dock in November 2024, Brilliant Lady in July 2025, and Valiant Lady’s in May 2026. Palermo also played a major role in the original construction of Virgin Voyages’ first three ships.

What Changes Could Be Coming?

While Virgin Voyages has not shared official details yet, it’s reasonable to expect Resilient Lady to follow a similar path to her sister ships. Based on what we saw during Scarlet and Valiant Lady’s dry docks, updates may include:

• A refreshed Roundabout area with updated lighting and finishes
• Improvements to the pool design for accessibility and comfort
• Enhancements to The Athletic Club and public spaces
• Cabin refreshes including new soft furnishings

Much like Valiant Lady, there will likely be a new theme for Razzle Dazzle. Scarlet Lady introduced a Chinese-inspired Lucky Lotus concept, while Brilliant Lady features the Spanish-themed Rojo by Razzle Dazzle. Valiant Lady’s theme is still under wraps, so it may be some time before we know Resilient Lady’s new look.

Resilient Lady’s first voyage following dry dock will sail round-trip from Barcelona for 10 nights, calling at Provence (Marseille), Cannes, Ajaccio, Rome (Civitavecchia), Amalfi Coast (Salerno), Palermo, Cagliari &  back to Barcelona
