Virgin Voyages’ Holiday 2024 sailings have began. Take a look at some of the special food, themed drinks, festive decor, special gifts on offer in this inside look.

The holiday season has officially arrived aboard Virgin Voyages, with the much-anticipated Holiday Edition sailings beginning on December 6, 2024, and continuing through the month. These cruises bring an extra dose of festive cheer with special gifts, holiday-themed food and drinks, and a vibrant atmosphere across the fleet. Whether you’re cruising aboard the Valiant Lady, Scarlet Lady (starting December 14), or Resilient Lady, you’re in for a truly festive experience.

Special Gifts to Celebrate the Season

This year, guests will receive a Shake for Champagne Christmas ornament, adding a special touch to the festivities. Those who are members of the Sailing Club will receive an exclusive holiday pin in red or blue depending on level, while members of the Virgin Voyages private sailing club (485c) will be gifted a custom pin.

Festive Entertainment

This year The Hostess from the Happenings Cast as well as select tother members of the cast help to host “Happy Holidays with The Hostess & Friends” this cabaret show is one of the main highlights on board including the festive PJ party.


Festive Drinks

Virgin Voyages has pulled out all the stops with its holiday menus, featuring delicious specialty dishes and festive drinks available throughout the fleet.

Grounds Club Drinks

At Grounds Club, indulge in a boozy hot chocolate crafted with Kahlua, Bailey’s, and house-made hot chocolate. It’s topped with Bailey’s whipped cream and finished with a sprinkle of cacao dust for the perfect cozy treat.

Restaurant Drinks

At most restaurants, sailors can enjoy specially crafted meals and seasonal cocktails designed to get everyone into the holiday spirit.

  • Merry Mai Tai: A festive twist on a classic, this drink features Bacardi 8-year rum, triple sec, lime, pineapple, port wine, and ginger bitters ($15).
  • Holly Jolly Fizz: A non-alcoholic option made with Seedlip Grove 94, Jojo green tea, lemon, and ginger beer ($11).

Ship Drinks

Throughout the ship, festive drinks are available to keep the celebration going.

  • Blitzen Spritz: Aperol, raspberry cordial, cherry bitters, and sparkling wine ($13)
  • Holly Jolly Fizz (Non-Alcoholic): Seedlip Grove 42, Jojo green tea, lemon, and ginger beer ($11)

Festive Food

Pink Agave

At Pink Agave, guests can savor small plates like the Frijole Soup (black beans, cilantro, and radish) and larger dishes like the Short Rib Tamale, featuring radish, pickled jalapenos, peppers, and salsa roja. For dessert, indulge in the rich and creamy Flan de Queso with caramelized figs and pomegranate foam.

Gunbae

At Gunbae a range of seafood dumplings are offered as an appetizer as well as festive gingerbread cookies are available for dessert!

The Wake

At The Wake, sailors will enjoy a carefully curated menu. To start, there’s beef tartare served with egg yolk, cornichon, and a sherry dressing. For the main course, indulge in roasted rib of beef accompanied by whipped mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, Brussels sprouts, and rich bone marrow gravy. The meal concludes with a dessert of sticky toffee pudding, complemented by raspberry, blood orange, and whipped cream.

Extra Virgin

At Extra Virgin, sailors can enjoy a festive holiday-inspired menu featuring seasonal Italian flavors. Begin your meal with the Fall Insalata, a refreshing mix of gem lettuce, pear, gorgonzola cheese, and hazelnut vinaigrette. For the main course, the Herb-Crusted Rack of Lamb takes center stage, served with balsamic-braised radicchio, cranberry beans, and a drizzle of rosemary oil. Finish on a sweet note with Panettone, a traditional Italian dessert featuring marcona almonds, candied orange, and golden sultanas—a perfect way to embrace the holiday spirit.

Test Kitchen

At Test Kitchen swap the main course for a duck dish and the dessert course for pumpkin, the existing options are still available.

Razzle Dazzle

Meanwhile, at Razzle Dazzle (likely excluding Lucky Lotus), diners can start with a light Snow Pea Salad followed by a hearty main course of Baked Honey Glazed Ham with braised Swiss chard, sweet potato puree, and apple-walnut chutney. Finish off the meal with the Apple Cranberry Tart, served with spiced pecan streusel, butter-pecan ice cream, and bourbon caramel sauce.
