Virgin Voyages’ PJ Pyjama Party is a vibrant event designed to kickstart the cruise with a fun, laid-back atmosphere. Encouraging guests to wear their best pyjamas, the PJ Party offers a memorable night of music, dancing, and unexpected surprises.
Dress Code
As with everything on Virgin Voyages, there is no strictly enforced dress code. However you would be missing out if you didn’t don your finest pyjamas for this landmark event (Just keep in mind, always make sure you keep your choice within Virgin’s policies). Setting and Timing
The PJ Party is often hosted on the first night of the voyage at 11pm, helping to kick off the voyage. It is usually held at the Athletic Club on Deck 16, providing a spacious environment for the party. However, in case of bad weather, the event is relocated to The Manor nightclub to ensure that the party goes ahead as planned.
Grog Walk Finale
For those participating in the ‘Grog Walk‘ pub crawl, the PJ Party serves as the finale after taking a brief detour to change into pyjamas. The PJ Party with its playful theme, energetic entertainment, and array of surprises is worth a visit.
Music & Surprises
The music at the PJ Party is a nostalgic mix of 90s and 00s hits, with some cheesy dance breaks thrown into the mix. A series of surprises await throughout the night, promising to keep the atmosphere lively and engaging.
Highlights of the party often include musical numbers from The Hostess & The Diva, a fun interruption from oversized canine visitors during the “Who Let The Dogs Out” number. There is also a pyjama contest with prizes for best dressed.
