Virgin Voyages has revealed the first details of Valiant Lady’s upcoming dry dock during the Red Hot Sailing Club Voyage.

The ship will head into dry dock in May 2026 before returning to service on May 25, 2026. During this time, Valiant Lady will undergo routine maintenance along with several updates across the ship.

New Indian Dining Concept Coming to Valiant Lady

The biggest update coming to Valiant Lady is a new version of Razzle Dazzle called Ariya by Razzle Dazzle.

The concept will introduce Indian cuisine to the ship and has been developed in partnership with Indie Culinaire and celebrity chef Maneet Chauhan.

By day, the venue will continue to operate as Razzle Dazzle serving breakfast and brunch. In the evening the space will transform into Ariya, a restaurant focused on regional Indian cuisine and spice-driven dishes.

According to Virgin Voyages, the restaurant will feature a range of dishes inspired by different parts of India, including street food favorites and slow cooked specialties. Ariya will seat around 220 guests in the transformed Razzle Dazzle space. Design elements are inspired by Indian spice markets with warm tones, layered textures and new seating areas including booth style tables and semi private dining spaces.

Ariya Menu Preview

Some of the early dishes mentioned include lamb shank biryani, Goan curried mussels, Malabar coconut crab cake, puffed rice and avocado chaat, and tandoori pistachio crusted snapper.

The experience will begin with a complimentary welcome drink of jaljeera, a traditional tamarind and cumin beverage designed to awaken the palate.

The bar program will also reflect the restaurant’s theme, featuring cocktails inspired by Indian flavors and spices such as cardamom, saffron and jaggery.

Scarlet Lady introduced Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle during her 2024 dry dock, while Brilliant Lady later launched Rojo by Razzle Dazzle. Both restaurants have proven popular additions to the fleet and show how Virgin Voyages is evolving the Razzle Dazzle space across the ships.

Roundabout Updates Expected

Also revealed during a Red Hot Sailing Club voyage ship tour was that the updated Roundabout concept, first seen on Brilliant Lady is coming to Valiant Lady.

The experience originally debuted on Brilliant Lady and refreshes the space with new seating, improved viewing areas, and an updated Draught Haus.

Further details on how the concept will be adapted for Valiant Lady have not yet been revealed. Check out the photos below for a look at the Brilliant Lady version from last year.

Routine Maintenance and Smaller Updates

Alongside the new additions, Valiant Lady will also undergo routine maintenance and lighter updates across the ship.

Dry dock periods allow cruise lines to carry out technical inspections, refresh public spaces, and make smaller improvements across cabins and venues.

For Virgin Voyages, this will likely be a return to Palermo’s Fincantieri shipyard, which hosted Scarlet Lady’s dry dock in November 2024. The same facility was also involved in the original build of all three ships in the fleet.

First Sailing After Dry Dock

Valiant Lady’s first sailing following dry dock is scheduled to depart on May 25, 2026.

The ship will sail the 6 night Amalfi Coast, Cannes & Ibiza itinerary departing from Rome. The voyage includes stops in Salerno, Cannes, and two days in Ibiza before finishing in Barcelona.

Are they updating the cabins at all? We have previously sailed on Scarlet and Resilient. We are looking forward to seeing the results after the refurbishment when we sail from NY in October

    1. Rob Sammons says:

No major changes to cabins, new carpets etc but nothing crazy.

  2. Jenna M says:

Begging for updates to include more hot tubs!

    1. Rory says:

Unfortunately, hot tubs and pools (any standing water) alter the balance of the ship too drastically, so it’s hard to retrofit these on existing ships when they weren’t planned for in the initial design process.

    2. Dawn G says:

I agree with this!!! I can’t believe that there isn’t an engineer out there that could figure this out….or make the ones that are there bigger.

  3. John says:

Wonder if they’ll change those awful round bed to fit more sunbeds, like they did on scarlet?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

They likely will as they did on Brilliant too

  4. Aimee Sutton Kaduscwicz says:

This looks like a lovely new space at Razzle Dazzle: Ariya! Can’t wait to sail the refurbished ship in September!

    1. Dawn G says:

Ariya does look great,,,just booked Valiant in January – can’t wait to see it.

  5. Victoria Bee says:

So are there no plans to add extra RS Serious Suites as they did with Scarlet Lady and Brilliant Lady? Maybe they’ve been struggling to fill them.

    1. Rob Sammons says:

They never added them on Brilliant Lady, we’re expecting some other updates but there’s no sign of new Rockstar suites coming so far.

  6. Jeffrey Dreiblatt says:

Are they updating the deck 16 rear seating like on Brilliant?

    1. Rob Sammons says:

Seems unlikely but if we hear will update

  7. Derek Bell says:

Only got 58 nights on Valiant between July and November this year so I should have plenty of time to try everything in Razzle Dazzle. Only 8 days to the Panama adventure.

  8. Steve E Milo says:

Rob, you failed to mention the unlimited gimlets! My next cruise is on Valiant Lady in July, so looking forward to this.
