In this week’s VV Insider update, David shares the first half of a practical trip report from Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady sailing from Los Angeles to Vancouver. Rather than a typical warm-weather Virgin Voyages experience, this voyage brought cooler temperatures, changeable weather, tendering at Catalina Island, and a very different onboard rhythm. The video covers what the sailing actually felt like, what worked well, what David would do differently next time, and useful tips for anyone considering a similar West Coast or Pacific Coastal itinerary.

I was on Brilliant Lady last fall. David, 100% agree about Basque Cheesecake! It’s absolutely the best dessert on sea or land! Just booked Panama Canal cruise and can’t wait to sail again on Brilliant and eat at the amazing Rojo and get another slice of that cheesecake. Shout out to Rob for assisting me with my booking. He was fabulous in helping me get access to the new West Coast resident discounts. VV Insider are awesome First Mates!
