Virgin Voyages has unveiled an industry-first offer that’s perfect for avid travelers and those looking for a unique way to explore the world. Starting in January 2025, the Virgin Voyages Annual Pass will grant Sailors the ability to cruise year-round, anytime, anywhere, on any of the lady ships. This first of its kind opportunity comes with a price tag of $120,000 USD and promises a year of exploration, luxury, and adventure. This builds on top of the lines already existing work from helm Summer Season Pass.

What the Annual Pass Includes

The Annual Pass allows Sailors and a guest to enjoy up to 365 days of sailing in a Sea Terrace cabin, complete with ocean views and the brand’s iconic red hammock. With itineraries spanning the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and even transatlantic voyages, Sailors can embrace the nomadic lifestyle at sea.

In addition to unlimited voyages, pass holders gain access to the Deep Blue Extras, which include:

  • Premium Wi-Fi for multiple devices.
  • Laundry services to keep you fresh during your adventures.
  • Priority boarding for seamless embarkation.
  • A $100 Bar Tab credit for each voyage.
  • Two specialty coffees per day.
  • Invitations to exclusive cocktail events.

Plus, travelers can rotate their plus-one companions throughout the year, ensuring they can share this adventure with family and friends.

Richard Branson Announces the Program

Virgin Voyages Founder Richard Branson shared his excitement about the Annual Pass, emphasizing its value for wanderlust-filled Sailors. “Travel sparks creativity and brings clarity,” he said. “With the Annual Pass, we’re making limitless adventure possible in a way that has never been done in cruising before.”

With onboard perks and a variety of destinations, it’s an enticing choice for those looking to trade traditional living expenses for a life of luxury and exploration.

How to Secure Your Spot

The Annual Pass is available on a first-come, first-served basis and can only be purchased by contacting Virgin Voyages or First Mates directly. Interested Sailors must book by March 31, 2025, and select a start date in January, February, March, or April of 2025.

While the $120,000 pass covers voyage fares, taxes and port fees are additional and must be paid when booking individual itineraries. Cabin upgrades and certain onboard purchases, like Shore Things (excursions), are also not included.

Pay with Bitcoin or Wire Transfer

In another industry-first move, Virgin Voyages is accepting Bitcoin as a payment method for the Annual Pass as well as wire transfer methods.

Unlimited Exploration

Whether you’re chasing sunsets in the Caribbean, savoring Mediterranean cuisine, or experiencing the charm of North America, Virgin Voyages’ Annual Pass offers endless opportunities. Sailors can even experience Brilliant Lady, Virgin’s newest ship debuting in September 2025, as part of their year-long adventure.

Sailors can swap between ships at any time and the itineraries can be chosen depending on availability.

It’s not a bad deal if you utilize it for most days of the year, but I can’t imagine enjoying it. It’s like eating cake all day, everyday for a year. I like cake, but after a couple of weeks, I think I would get sick of it.

A better deal would be 90 days of cruising in a year for $30,000 per cabin. Not 90 days straight, but 90 days total within a year. I bet a ton of people would sign up for that!

    1. Rob Sammons says:

That would be a good idea. The summer season pass though is nearing that range for 4 weeks

      1. Seriphus says:

When it was $9990 for two sailors, it was nearly as good, but the lowest now is $14,999. Also, it’s for a continuous four weeks of travel.

$30,000 for 90 days, especially if it didn’t have to be continuous, would be great. That’s 13 weeks that could be spread out in a year’s time. A week or two at a time with some breaks in-between to rest up. That would be an awesome year!

  2. Mats says:

It just doesn’t seem attractive at all as it assumes an extraordinarily high utilisation rate which is so unlikely, plus the taxes issue . But as much as I like many aspects of the brand the absolute no for me would be the idea of the same menus on every ship day in day out. I just can’t believe they have hardly changed in 3+ years, even to reflect regional tastes.

  3. Dave says:

That calculates to $329+/day or $10K+/month in USD. Taxes and port fees are additional and must be paid when booking individual itineraries. Cabin upgrades and certain onboard purchases, like Shore Things (excursions), are also not included.

Maybe the one-percenters will think this is attractive. Personally, I think it’s somewhat obscene. It almost seems as though VV is becoming too elitist, which makes me feel less inclined to book with them.

  4. Anna says:

I need to be grounded every few weeks. 😆 Branson if you pay I’ll go

  5. Steve K says:

It will have more appeal when they return to Australia and not have all 4 ships in Caribbean for 4+ months in winter. Also a little rough spending the majority of the year in sea terrace cabin with bed that is fine for 7 nights but rough for 300 nights as well as a small bathroom. Good first time offering, i’m sure they’ll tweak it based on feedback for future years.

  6. Fiona says:

Exactly how we’ve just worked it out. For that price, I’m sure my boss would understand that she wouldn’t see me fir a year especially as I can work from anywhere. I might even take my hubby on several cruises over the year 😉😁

  7. Daryll says:

    Wealthy people who are retired

  8. Evan says:

    Woahhh!

I can’t even imagine how awesome that would be!

  9. Claire says:

    $120K USD roughly £95K a year.
    /52 = approx £1800 a week.
Well, I have spent more than this a week on a voyage. However, I am thankful that I already have a couple of voyages booked for 2025 which makes this pointless for me.
Oh and I have a job I can’t do in all time zones. Work remember that :D.
Good Luck to the Annual Pass holders x

    1. Laura says:

Same here. Fun for those that can.

    2. Claire says:

Also, no access to Richards Rooftop unlike the Summer pass, and as I read in the small print you might have to change rooms every voyage, so that’s a bit dull.
