VV Insider Turns Three Today

We’re celebrating three years of VV Insider, highlighting another year of growth, new tools, expanded coverage and nearly one million readers over the past year.

Today marks three years since we launched VV Insider. What began in August 2023 as a project between the two of us, Rob and David, has grown into a resource used by nearly a million sailors in the past year around the world to plan their Virgin Voyages vacations.

It’s been another huge year. We’ve published more than 300 news articles, launched new tools, expanded our first-hand coverage and helped our sailors with their bookings.

Making Voyage Planning Even Easier

This year we launched Cabin Tool 2.0, with individual cabin information and bed configurations, something we were the first Virgin Voyages resource to provide.

We also made it easier than ever for sailors to upload their own cabin photos. Hundreds of new photos have been added this year thanks to sailors like you, helping us build what we believe is the best Virgin Voyages cabin tool available.

We also launched our new interactive deck plans, connecting cabins, venues and decks to make exploring each ship easier.

Alongside these tools, we’ve continued expanding our guides, bar menus and onboard events. Sailors also continue to use our Bar Tab Calculator every day.

We truly believe there is no better way to plan a Virgin Voyages vacation. But we’re always looking at what we can improve and what we can build next 😉

Covering What Matters to Sailors

We’ve continued to cover the Virgin Voyages stories that matter, often while experiencing them ourselves.

We were the first onboard Brilliant Lady and published the first complete onboard ship tour. We also documented the changes from Valiant Lady’s major dry dock in our Valiant Lady 2.0 guide.

This summer, we sailed Virgin Voyages in Alaska, sharing first-hand coverage of the new dining, entertainment and onboard experience.

And with more than 300 news articles published over the past year, we’ve been there as the big stories happened. From Sisters at Sea to Northern Europe in 2028, our aim is to bring sailors the information they need quickly and accurately, with no fluff, so you know what is happening, when it’s happening and what you need to do.

Still Just the Two of Us

Our YouTube channel is also approaching 10,000 subscribers. This year, we introduced members-only videos with even more content.

One thing that often surprises people is that there isn’t a huge team behind VV Insider.

It’s still primarily the two of us, Rob and David. Between us, we write the news and guides, build the tools, film and photograph ships, produce our videos, maintain the website and help all of our loyal sailors with their bookings.

Seeing nearly a million people use something we’ve created to plan their vacation is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Here’s to Year Four

2027 is already shaping up to be another big year for Virgin Voyages, and we’re excited to see what comes next. We’re particularly hopeful that the coming years may bring news about what follows the current four-ship fleet.

For us, that means more guides, tools, videos, first-hand coverage and plenty more time onboard to bring our readers the latest information.

Thank you to everyone who has read, watched, booked, subscribed, shared a cabin photo or supported VV Insider over the past three years. Here’s to year four!
