About Essential
Essential is the standard VoyageFair Choice. It is designed for most travelers, offering flexibility without premium extras.

Essential locks in your cabin when you book, but unlike Base you have the option to move later if a better location opens up. This makes it a safer choice if location matters, such as being near friends or avoiding noisy areas. The main traveler’s name cannot change, but others in the booking can.

Dining, entertainment, group fitness, and select drinks are always included across Virgin Voyages fares.
