Virgin Voyages Reports Record Wave Season as Revenue Climbs 20%
Virgin Voyages reports nearly 20% revenue growth during Wave season, reflecting rising demand for adult only cruising in 2026.
Virgin Voyages says demand for adult only vacations is helping power a record mid Wave season, with bookings and revenue rising year over year as more travelers look for a quieter cruise experience.
In a February 13, 2026 release, the cruise line pointed to continued growth in the wider adult only travel segment and said its decision to launch as a kid free brand is paying off as preferences shift.
Wave Offer Continues Through February 26
Virgin Voyages’ February Wave season offer runs through February 26, 2026. The current promotion includes 80% off the second guest, up to $350 in Bar Tab, and up to $300 in onboard credit (Sailor Loot) on select sailings and cabin categories. The offer will likely go through one final extension in May.
Why Adult Only Travel Is Gaining Ground
The company says the broader shift toward adult focused vacations is being driven by a mix of lifestyle and demographic changes, including how and when people are choosing to start families, and how many adults now prioritize uninterrupted time away.
- More travelers want calmer spaces and fewer family focused activities
- Busy work schedules are pushing people to protect time off
- Social media has made adult only resorts and cruises more visible
Nirmal Saverimuttu On The Kid Free Strategy
Virgin Voyages CEO Nirmal Saverimuttu said the brand’s adult only focus was never intended as a short term positioning move.
“We didn’t approach kid free travel as a short term trend. We built Virgin Voyages around it from day one. As more adults look for space to truly switch off and reconnect, whether that’s with themselves, their partners or their friends, we’re seeing that what we created genuinely resonates. We’ve helped turn adult only travel from a niche idea into something people actively seek out, simply by doing it The Virgin Way. That’s why we’re growing faster than the industry, and why our repeat rates are at record levels.”

Mid Wave Results And 2025 Highlights
Virgin Voyages reported strong performance across both 2025 results and early 2026 Wave season pacing. In the same update, the cruise line said January 2026 was its highest booking month in company history.
- Bookings up almost 20% year over year in 2025
- Gross ticket revenue up almost 30% in 2025
- Ships sailing at full commercial load factors
- January website traffic up 98% year over year, according to Similarweb
- Longer itineraries outperforming forecasts across multiple regions
